I've had a look to see if there was anywhere in the uk that could repair mine but google isn't hitting anything. Does anyone have know anywhere where I could send my Dobbs to have the finger prints removed? I don't own one of these but from the pictures I've seen if they've applied any type of clear-coat then you need to have it polished down to where the finger print smudges occurred. If it's smudged on the paint and they added a layer of clear then you'll need to polish/compound off the clear, have it repainted, then re-apply the clear-coat. Either way, people that deal with air-brushing, automotive paint/detailing could possibly help you but you're looking at minimum $150-200/hour type charges. Possibly could use a DA Orbital polisher with the lightest polish and work your way to something with more cut if it's not removing. You would need to tape off the entire figure and go from there. |

God bless and i hope it works out, but you wouldn't tell someone to use a bunch of scotch tape on a print, so not sure why you would want to do the equivalent here when the alternative is to just wait a few more months. it is not life saving time sensitive medication

If you haven't been proactive with the situation then you wouldn't have a clue that it's had a major road bump in manufacturing. I haven't been updated at all, the only communication was my initial order email confirmation.
It's just such a shame. I have my spot ready for Mr Dob to go out on display. It's just a waiting game I guess but it's the first time I've bought anything like this, it's not been the best experience.

I think that's why this latest email was sent. Murakami posted a pic of the red figure to his IG this week and 90% of the comments were extremely negative. Seems like that did the trick.
