No worries, I know who he is. It's just the excitement over the vinyl I though may be American.
There's a couple of his prints I've liked just never got round to pulling the trigger.

Both. kaws is very open about how much he owes murakami and they are good friends. I am getting a bit more optomistic about my order now that the set says sold out. At least there is some kind of inventory control

This is hands down the best vinyl piece I've seen in years, the box alone is a thing of beauty.
Considering the Kaws BFF plush (edition 3000) is going for 5x value on eBay I baffled as to why these have sat for so long.
Having spoken to at least 5 people I know who have bought these I can confirm that the order # works out and these seem highly unlikely to be cancelled.
Can't believe people are sleeping on these, especially how popular Murakami is in Asian.

True, and I agree with what you say but Kaws is getting more and more commercial, just look at his Uniqlo collaboration for example.
These artists are operating on two levels now. Fine art and that whole 'Complex' culture of limited edition releases. They are marketing themselves in a way that's been synonymous with sneaker culture for years. The same kids buying Yeezys and Supreme are spending serious $ on Kaws companions and plush toys.

Shop.complexcon.com also had the Mr Dobs too. As this was an independent platform from baitme, who knows how many they pre-sold too. Hopefully everybody gets to eat, but stuff like this really places the available stock quantity in the realm of the unknown.

So did anyone get an order conformation? I only got one from Paypal but non from Bait... From what I gather those that paid with PayPal didn't get an order confirmation email from Bait, you can login into the site and check whether it's been received though under My Account > Orders. |

Well this is a bot how these conventions work right? Pharrel showed of some new clown pants with GStar RAW and you cant buy those for 6 months...
My guess is that there where higher power at work here... Bait could probably get a free spot if they did the release on the convention. So they would sell more tickets to the show? They just might have had the drop of this on the books for March but just pre released it!

Completely agree, Coach. I get impatient bringing a tube home from the gallery and having to wait an hour to get home to open it. Three months is absurd.
