Of course make an offer at what you feel happy paying for it, but don't expect anyone to lower prices just to suit you.
The price somebody is willing to sell for, and the price another person is willing to pay sometimes might be very far apart  it doesn't mean anyone is wrong! It just means you value the piece differently.

Its usually about a wash when you consider the extra shipping charges you must pay with the oversized item and glass. I would think $1000 is fair price for this particular print. Cheers

Regarding the side show that is being played out alongside the sale, it is pretty clear you two are never going to make up and be friends, but there comes a time when you have to accept your differences and walk away. Despite thinking there maybe a point to prove, there can never be any winner in these sort of exchanges, in fact the longer it goes on the more you will lose.
