My confession - I sold a love rat in about 2007 for £750. My wife didn’t like it and at the time it paid off a credit card. My work colleague sold three signed in 2010 - putting it in to their house. They still have the house! Easy to judge. Likewise We all could have bought Tesla or Amazon shares back in the day, had we known! You make the best call you can at the time. No,need to need to defend your decision ... |

I don’t think any of us ever imagined how much his work was going to reach in terms of value. 13k was a good price for the Toxic Mary (for the time) and I should have pounced! Now the prices are insane! Not a great time buy your dream piece of artwork. For the people who own some of his art, I wish them the best! This is a great market for people willing to let go of some pieces. But it sucks to be me right now as someone who wants to buy. They are just too unaffordable. That said, I just saw an HMV for 13k, which might be a good investment.
