Ive always figured buyer and seller split the auction fee somewhere in the middle and that's how you end up at a value. I have no idea why one way should sell a bunch more or less than the other. If that's the case a whole profession would be made in moving prints back and forth

Fees are not split down the middle, the buyer pays the buyers premium and the seller pays a separate selling fee. People pay a premium to buy at auction, especially when your talking about buying high valued items. I know I would rather buy from an auction house over dropping the amount some spend with a random person online.

Surely there's nothing better to spend 30k on than this beautiful, uplifting image that will add so much pleasure and happiness to your life? You can show it off to your wife. Remember being completely blown away when I saw the original at the Mudec here in Milan.
Iโm no Banksy expert but I feel itโs among the less appreciated prints considering the prices it goes for (compared to other prints of similar edition size).
Maybe the image is a bit too much for some people..

You were asking ยฃ3K for a Welcome Mat last year. This is worth at least ten times one of those in my opinion.

Art is one of the most imperfect and opaque markets around, fortunes are made and lost doing this dance. |

Adversely someone just bought one for ยฃ42.3k.
Maybe the seller thought they would get more and are not happy, who knows. What I do know is someone was prepared to pay ยฃ42.5k.
You never know maybe someone else is prepared to pay that.

So I would like to recieve sensible offers around the ยฃ40k mark. Would prefer a UK sale .
