International Transaction Ideas, by cyochens on Nov 21, 2016 1:30:57 GMT 1, This is a bit off topic, but I don't see a section covering this concern. I'm in the process of completing a transaction with someone on the board who lives in the UK, and I'm in the US. The transaction amount is over $6k GBP. What is the safest way to protect both the buyer, and the seller. I'm the buyer.
I'm assuming, because of the transaction amount, PayPal payment/protection is not an option. What have members used in these scenerios to ensure both parties get what they want, in one piece, and are financially protected? Is there an Escrow service I do not know about, or a third party agent? Quite a bit of coin to send someone you've never met, and not having the protection of PayPal service.
Thanks in advance.

International Transaction Ideas, by Pipes on Nov 21, 2016 1:52:07 GMT 1, I''be used transfer wise app before - but that was sending to a trusted recipient. Albeit one I hadn't met or had dealings with before.
I've always asked for emails to be sent from work addresses rather than gmail and asked for facebook and LinkedIn profiles.
Not to sure a service will offer the protection you are after - so you just need to make sure you get yourself into a postition where you are condormatee.
I have also found local help when doing international transactions and paid the final portion on collection or verification.
Hope that's been of some use !
