Banksy • Festival, Destroy Capitalism, by Curley on Feb 21, 2009 10:04:30 GMT 1, yeah big Al sure does keep close watch on this set, funny how everyone figured out it's big Al everyone has their opinion on value for this set but this is how it really breaks down from ACTUAL recent sales: L.A. versions of released prints(4 released prints in this set) recently sold for 869 gbp X 4 = 3476 gbp L.A. versions of unreleased(2 unreleased prints in this set) prints recently sold for 2287 gbp X 2 = 4574 gbp 3476 gbp(4 released) + 4574 gbp(2 unreleased) = 8050 gbp (6 print set) 15% for matching numbers = 1207 gbp 15% for rarity of this set = 1207 gbp 8050 gbp + 1207 gbp + 1207 gbp = 10,464 gbp total ( about $15,000 USD depending on exchange rate of the day) that is how it breaks down according to ACTUAL recent sales and this set has great investment upside because of the potential that the last 2 prints may not be released that is pretty much exactly how this set breaks down using ACTUAL recent sales I'm taking offers in that range

In all honesty it would be more difficult to put together a set that isnt matching numbers than to purchase a set of matching numbers, since they were sold in sets of matching numbers.
So the rarity factor isnt taken into consiideration in the initial value estimate of the prints? I think it obviuosly is.

Like I have said before, you cannot cite whether or not the remaining prints will be released, simply because you dont know. If you value your prints so much, why dont you give them to Laz to sell for you or put them in to auction?
