they signed and dated them as they sold back then, so maybe they still had some left in 04 ?

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by recycle on Jul 21, 2010 13:32:53 GMT 1, I can't remember the last time a signed Bomb hugger was on ebay except for that guys wholesale deal and i was in contact with him and something just didn't seem right. Unsigned in the UK have been fetching between 1.7-2K recently
I do know that i can buy a signed bomb hugger today for 7.5k an an A/P for 11K so that the value i would put down if you were buyer.
Selling wise i would drop at least 1-2k on that. I was tempted to sell my soup can a few weeks back which after a lot of research concluded it was worth about 7.5k+ but got ridiculous offers of 4-5k for it, had one offer of 6.5k in which i was tempted with but person turned out to be a timewaster.

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by recycle on Jul 21, 2010 13:48:34 GMT 1, No it's from the original 50, and i'm not prepared to get into this conversation again with anyone else (long story) especially on someone elses thread. If someone can show me one that is currently for sale anywhere in the world for less i will happily state i am wrong.

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by curiousgeorge on Jul 21, 2010 18:18:25 GMT 1, I think there was one on ebay for around 6.5k GBP (still there? I'm at work and can't check). I don't think it sold. I think if you are looking to buy you would need to pay around that. If you are looking to sell. I would guess you could get 5.5 to 6k GBP. I think it is an important point to make with all these prints, there is a spread, transaction costs (including the spread) are not small. Bid and ask prices can be quite different for thinly traded prints. Depending on how quick a transaction you want, there may be a huge gap between the bid and ask prices. I really wish people were more upfront about pricing. I hate seeing POA. To me it is a big waste of time and does not help the market at all. If there was greater transparency we could see the spreads come in.
Transparency in Art?? Clearly a newbie who knows nish
Just jokes, in total agreement
I know of one at 3.5k (not so recent) and 5.5k pretty recent, more interestingly both from the same seller
Just a moan i remember when 'auction' and 'ebay' prices and i use prices in the most relaxed manner, yeah i remember when fee's at auction and ebay were taken into account and often a cheeky forum discount when selling in private, now it seems to be De rigueur to include the fee's at the buyers end
Seems the Art and it's meaning moves futher away as each day passes, at least at this level, perhaps not at the point of inception

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by markhove on Aug 4, 2010 16:17:35 GMT 1, Hi,
I advertised this last year but at the height (or should I say depth) of the recession couldn't get the price I was really hoping for. Sold a Faile and a few others OK but..
Anyway I've decided to give it another go. Any ideas how much I should be asking?
It is one of 150 signed. Framed since new (I bought in 2004). Perfect condition, Pest Control certificate, Bonhams Valuation (£10k) plus other supporting documents.
Looking forward to hearing your views on price...
Cheers MC

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by markhove on Aug 6, 2010 13:31:22 GMT 1, Well I won't tell you how much I paid for it!
OK not a great photo (a bit washed out) but this gives you an idea. The frame is simple black brushed aluminium with UV glass. Actually the print has had very limited exposure to sunlight (been renting places for the last few years so it's been in storage until quite recently).
Interested?

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by markhove on Aug 9, 2010 10:57:47 GMT 1, Good points but these big auction houses - don't they take 40% anyway? And you probably have to wait months for the right auction. So yes did consider this but would be happy with something above 6k. Need to sell pretty quickly - need the cash. I'm reluctant to stick it on eBay but might have to go down that route if I don't get any serious interest on this forum.

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by craigf on Aug 9, 2010 13:04:50 GMT 1, There was one on eBay for £7k with a number of other prints that didn't sell and one on it's own for £7k at the moment. If you need the cash you need to think about a price that grabs peoples attention, very few people have £6k+ sitting around. You're right about the auction house commissions, I guess at auction it would make £6k - £7k less 20% commission brings you down quite a bit. eBay fees will also be a fair amount and there is no point listing at £7k as it will just sit there with the other one.
All just my opinion and possibly worth the square root of nothing, but.....

Banksy Bomb Hugger Print, by recycle on Aug 9, 2010 13:27:14 GMT 1, Bonhams has an auction coming up in October if i am correct.
I would personally reckon you would get 6-8k in the right auction.
I personally am taking no notice of older Signed Banksys on ebay at the moment as the ebay market is dead for them, especially as Grant Champkins-Howard and Lee Parker produced all those fakes.
Apart form collectors forums like this, WK, EB etc, i wouldn't try to sell it anywhere except a suitable auction by a reputable auction house.
All my own opinion obviously......
