I have have been fortunate enough to travel all over the world, and still have to travel more than I would like. Everytime the plane comes in over Heathrow I look down and think want a beautiful amazing country we live in. I grew up in Loughborough (Loo gaa bah roo gah to the Aussies), lived up North (Durham), down South (Home Counties), Work in Manchester & Bournemouth (occasionally) Holiday in Cornwall, love the Lake District & London is just f**king amazing. It's ONLY rival in NYC and they are very different beasts.
Ultimately it's the people make this country great. Many types - many opinions.
I understand nex's national pride point, it can lead down a strange path. For me it's National Gratitude. Some stuff is fucked up but so much is not and I am thankful for it.

Whats wrong with good old British values of equality and democracy?
I love Britain and what British people built.
I don't like some aspects of the way Britain is going. As is Europe in some ways going backwards not forwards where everyone lives happily ever after.
