Analysing sales is pointless and completely misses the point that someone will pay whatever if it's something they really want and connect with. It's like putting a price on love...pointless and soulless.

Seen better analysis in the Daily Mail. Just my opinion though. I recall seeing one at auction for that price including fees in 2018. Someone with an artnet database account can probably verify. There was also an edition STIK that just went for 117k and a Richter P15 that sold for 40k usd at an auction in HK. These things happen with uninformed buyers or someone that REALLY wants the piece. |

We get it...if some idiot wants to buy something and he has more money than brains than youโre right that sales data is irrelevant but 99.9% of the time it is valuable. Take it easy. Whereโs your graph? This guy Eddie was just being helpful. There will always be outliers. And as longs as Eddie kept the cites for the prices, he did a great job and anyone buying should appreciate this guy did this.

No... PC are used to this. Plenty of people choose not to put the COA into their name. When buying a Banksy that has this situation though, I find it best to establish a chain of ownership with the current owner back to the person they purchased it from (who the COA is registered to). With that done and sight of the COA it's then just a case of handing over your cash, taking ownership and applying online for a change of ownership. Give PC all the details and, assuming all is correct, at that point, for a fee of ยฃ40 or so... the COA will be registered in your name and you will be on their database as the official owner. EDIT -- sorry samfrost... hadn't seen your reply. |

Having said that personally I'd insist on current owner having coa in their name but that's just me. If you're the proud owner of any Banksy for insurance purposes alone best to have coa in your name and I'd be emailing post control to say I'm buying the print before handing cash over.

So I would ride the breeze yourself.
Also - although I like the name - "what are you looking at" does not imply great customer service.
