I would hardly call being stuck in a completely different continent 'snoozing'. If the Ghetto was in the US and you were over there, I'm pretty sure you'll be singing the same tune. Not a dig at you personally... just that 'the grass is always greener on the other side'.

For those that are dying for a Kids on Car, be patient and wait. I've been tracking Banksy ebay prices for almost a year, and can guarantee that prices will come down to more reasonable levels in the next week or two.

Santa's Ghetto 2006, by tom77 on Dec 18, 2006 23:09:11 GMT 1, I'm shocked no one else is outraged as much as I am? See my above post. I feel ya, rk. Believe me, I do. Just that no words can effectively 'punish' these people and give them what they deserve... so after a while, being angry at them gets tired. We can only hope that there's such a thing as 'karma', and they get what they deserve in time to come. Maybe the print will spontaneously combust and burn his house down or something. Or if he looks at the print in the sun the reflection will blind him... perfect irony considering that the proceeds of the print should be going to a charity to help people see! Ah well, we can only hope... and cry in the meantime
im finding it hard to believe what im reading. why the f**k are you so bitter and twisted? i find it incredibly sad that someone 10hours flight away from santas ghetto is getting so distressed about people reselling a few damn prints. i love buying shoes right, but i never got mad at the resellers when there was a japan only release for a pair of dunks.
resellers arnt bad guys, they actually give people across the world a chance of grabbing an item that was impossible for them to obtain. put urself in the position of one. like me, i admit it.. i just sold my print for ยฃ550. im 19, college student.. part time job. your friend tells you theres going to be a release of a print soon where you can heavily profit from an item. what do you do?...
do you A) go along with him, have a nice day out in london, meet a few people in que, make friends and share knowledge.. buy a print for peanuts and sell it for a good profit..
or do you B) be a soft cock.. say no.. go to college instead as you want someone who may genuinly want the print, what could of been YOUR print. or maybe HE was going to re-sell it too?
i understand your opinion of the charity situation. but come on.. think about it. youve paid you ยฃ100 charity part.. what more do you want? no ones saying f**k you to the charities.. theyve got the ยฃ100,000 they wanted. once youve bought an item.. you can do what the f**k you want with it, theres no decent reason for bitter tossers like you to go so strongly against the free will of a human being. so much for your american dream huh!?
whats this s**t about karma.. dude.. you watch my name is earl too much
merry christmas, s**tbrick

You wouldn't be singing this tune if things were turned around against you. The bottom line about touters: They stand in the way of people who may want them for more personal reasons other than profit. You cannot deny that. Not calling you a touter... you may have your reasons for doing what you did. But intercepting the supply just so that you can make a personal profit is just plain immoral. That's just the way the world works, true enough.
But let's say you wanted a PS3 very badly, and there was only one left. I have absolutely no interest in one, but I know you want one very badly. I snap it up just to sell it to you for 10 times the price. Tell me you don't feel like ripping me to shreds. I can say that I'm giving you a chance to get one. Would you say I'm Mr. Congeniality? I highly doubt it. In the end, if you want it so much, would you pay me for it? Probably. But you cannot deny that you'll feel anguish.
And that anguish is all we're feeling, not bitterness like everyone so quickly likes to presume. Surely, that's no reason to become so rude and offensive and even go as far as to attack America, is there? Please try a little empathy before you go on the offensive. And realize that there IS a way to present an argument without attacking someone personally.

Santa's Ghetto 2006, by gbh on Dec 19, 2006 0:16:42 GMT 1, At the end of the day I've met some classy/quality people on here - and good things happen to those that help others. May that be buying stuff on someones behalf when the exhibition isn't in your country, fair swaps, etc.
rklimek - I couldn't agree more. By talking with other users here, helping ppl out, etc., etc. I have made some good friends and as a result of this forum have picked up some excellent prints/swaps, etc. for very fair prices, more fair than I have ever seen on ebay and had more luck getting artwork through this forum than buying straight from POW. Honestly, there are good people around. Plenty of scum as well, but you get that everywhere.

True, that! I've met quite a handful of people who have been exceptionally helpful - more helpful that they had any reason to be, even. Didn't always end up in me getting good deals or swaps or prints, but that's not a condition in my books to qualify someone as a 'top bloke', as you Brits say The intention is more than enough! To all of you who have been soooo incredibly nice to me (you know who you are!), THANK YOU from the very bottom of my heart! And I certainly wish that I will have an opportunity to repay your kindness and generosity in the near future!

Santa's Ghetto 2006, by tom77 on Dec 19, 2006 10:32:09 GMT 1, But let's say you wanted a PS3 very badly, and there was only one left. Probably. But you cannot deny that you'll feel anguish.
i see your point, but if you miss out then tough. maybe you should of made more of an effort to obtain the print..
And that anguish is all we're feeling, not bitterness like everyone so quickly likes to presume. Surely, that's no reason to become so rude and offensive and even go as far as to attack America, is there? Please try a little empathy before you go on the offensive. And realize that there IS a way to present an argument without attacking someone personally.
and hoping a print burns down someones house is ok?

But you cannot deny that you'll feel anguish. i see your point, but if you miss out then tough. maybe you should of made more of an effort to obtain the print.. And that anguish is all we're feeling, not bitterness like everyone so quickly likes to presume. Surely, that's no reason to become so rude and offensive and even go as far as to attack America, is there? Please try a little empathy before you go on the offensive. And realize that there IS a way to present an argument without attacking someone personally. and hoping a print burns down someones house is ok?
