You raise a good point - I don't think we've seen light vs dark... ever.

When I see these I see violence and brutality. If it was light vs dark I think the average observer would only see race, and maybe that's the reason we've not yet seen it.

At the same time I've listened to multiple interviews and specials about Cleon and I don't think he's ever raised race as a talking point.

I just received his Victory print (Red) yesterday, and I was surprised by the quality. Thick paper, thick paint (think Faile). And the red is vibrant.

His content is obviously challenging and not for most. But I was taken aback by the quality of the print.

I used to think his multiple print runs were primarily a means of increasing his revenue stream (call it the inner cynic in me). But him selling prints of that quality for $100-150? It now seems more of a gift to his fans (understanding I know these have the additional benefit of increasing his brand).
