Vinyl Stickers vs. LPs, by sufsean on Jan 13, 2017 19:56:43 GMT 1, Thinking of getting a lower priced, more affordable Banksy item, and wanted to know which of these options is more/most legit.
I've read that many of the LPs like Dirty Funker were not authorized---is that correct?
Comparing to the Vinyl stickers (i.e. American's Working Overhead, Keep Left, etc).
Also--throwing in that "No Commission" gangsta rat that Sandra Chevrier/Swiss Beatz were posting on their IGs...
Also---the Cans poster...
Thinking what's the best sub $500 option that is more legit and looks the best framed.
Thanks in advance!

Vinyl Stickers vs. LPs, by Schrödinger's Chat on Jan 13, 2017 20:39:20 GMT 1, I don't particularly follow Banksy, certainly not like others here, but I would think posters are your best bet, well below $500:
Greenpeace Poster Banksy vs Bristol Museum Monkey Parliament Guardian Poster of Banksy as a Guard Don't Panic Poster Exit through the gift shop film posters Blur think tank poster(?) .... Probably some others....
The dirty funker stuff is not authorised, but the Badmeaninggood, Blur, Monk & Canatella and Danger Mouse are all official (I think) but let's face it none of the above would get a PC COA either.
I'll add that if you just want the image then just buy a WCP but just don't mention it on here😉

The stickers are authorized, correct?
WCP prints are kinda lame IMO, mainly because they are still pretty expensive and you know those are fake.

Vinyl Stickers vs. LPs, by Schrödinger's Chat on Jan 13, 2017 21:39:08 GMT 1, I'm not sure I follow what you mean by 'the most authenticity.'
I think that everything I listed was authorised/official works by Banksy or relating to Banksy.
The only true authenticity is by Pest Control, you will not get that for anything I listed or anything that's available for under 500.
The stickers may be official Banksy releases but I don't think anyone would authenticate them.
A di-faced tenner is another option or a back door print
Problem with tenners, back door prints or the posters is that they could be fakes, buy from someone reputable.

and while i'm on, can i please remind people that the dirty funker records - all of them - were not authorised by banksy.

Vinyl Stickers vs. LPs, by Cornish Crayon on Jan 14, 2017 0:04:07 GMT 1, For the money and official banksy, get yourself the three little black books
Banging your head Existencilism Cut it out
Would look nice framed up and great history of the man himself.

Vinyl Stickers vs. LPs, by Coach on Jan 14, 2017 0:16:25 GMT 1, Assuming that the quality of the image is important, I tend to think that the Barely Legal poster is a great buy when looking for a Banksy on a budget.

and the bristol museum show posters are still available from pow for £10 each www.picturesonwalls.com/Books_Authors.asp?Author=Banksy
then start saving up for a flag print.

Vinyl Stickers vs. LPs, by Sturban Has Saggy Tits on Jan 14, 2017 16:09:51 GMT 1, Genuine Banksy postcards look great in small frames. Crude oils are rarer, but the Bristol Museum ones have better images and are a cheap way to have something official.

Vinyl Stickers vs. LPs, by Urban Germany on Jan 14, 2017 16:54:55 GMT 1, In the past I had some LP's with Banksy art work (for example the ltd. Banksy Years and the Dirty Funker with Happy Chopper).
I asked Pest Control with some info and photos whether they could authorize one of the vinyls - but they said that none of the LP's on the market was an authorized work of art and has nothing to do with Banksy.
I've read about it very much nonsense on DISCOGS. For me this is not an investment. This is speculation with the stupidity of buyers.
I was glad I got rid of the LP's again. I only kept my Paris CD..

That's a good shout Coach - does anyone have one for sale? If so drop me a PM, Not looking to pay silly prices.
