Banksy Sotheby's Jan 19th , by barsukauk on Jan 19, 2017 19:33:16 GMT 1, the only HW for sale right now is in a gallery in Germany for 136,000euros + vat so still good price for any of those canvas maybe i will sell my HW canvas.... i will let it go for less than 136K euros.
In the end this was and original 1off, not from the 25 edition! so I was expecting this to be sold for over £130-£140k

The keep it real was just under 100k, you said 210k.... someone didn't have a scientific calculator at school .....

Just for transparency, barsukauk, gironawatch, artearte are the same person with multiple forum IDs and not registered as a gallery on here (even though said seller has a gallery as newartonline). Just saying...

Just try making a slighty derogatory post (or even a complimentary post that is misinterpreted by Luis) and you too will find out quite quickly
I think from some threads a few years back it became readily apparent that Newart was Gironawatch and Barsukauk and mibbe even another sparsely used username if i recall. I wasnt aware that Artearte was Newart too but if you read the posts it doesnt take Bendict Cumberbatch to make the connection between all usernames.

Why do they do it?
is it for good reasons or bad?
Must be bad, as i can't think of good reasons

Must be bad, as i can't think of good reasons Well lets say you see someone selling a not that sought after (on the forum) piece, that you as a gallery have a buyer in mind for. Lets say the seller has 'make me offers' in his thread, and you know the piece to be worth about ~5k.
You fire up account one and bid 3k. You have account 2 bid 3.5k shortly after. You have your final account bid 3.8k.
Seller might be like, fuck me, it's not worth the 5k I had in mind as I had three offers way below, lets just take the 3.8k one before he changes his mind! And you net 1.2k profit.

Banksy Sotheby's Jan 19th , by lacklisted on Jan 22, 2017 23:48:05 GMT 1, KEEP IT REAL This work is in good condition overall. There are signs of fine stable craquelure across the black painted area. Under UV, there is evidence of scattered small spots of restoration: to the right of the stencil signature and along the upper and bottom edges of the work. "In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective buyers should inspect each lot to satisfy themselves as to condition and must understand that any statement made by Sotheby's is merely a subjective, qualified opinion. Prospective buyers should also refer to any Important Notices regarding this sale, which are printed in the Sale Catalogue. NOTWITHSTANDING THIS REPORT OR ANY DISCUSSIONS CONCERNING A LOT, ALL LOTS ARE OFFERED AND SOLD AS IS" IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONDITIONS OF BUSINESS PRINTED IN THE SALE CATALOGUE."

Banksy Sotheby's Jan 19th , by avec art on Jan 23, 2017 0:08:03 GMT 1, The craquelure is pretty apparent up close. It almost looks like an intentional texture on the piece and doesn't really detract from its beauty. But it won't be nice if any of those broken patches start to peel away. This is the trouble with spray paint, at least if it's not 'fixed' in someway after its been done.
