If you aren't getting a response then lodge your claim with paypal immediately - if theres a misunderstanding it can always be reversed anyway.
In future take references and verify identities, I've met and made plenty of friends on here but if i don't know a member, regardless of number of stars or anything else, i will always seek some references, more so if it is a remote deal..... and even more so with a new member, especially with the way things are on here these days.

Post the information you have on the seller - his profile name here - whatever you have - and see if the forum can help root him out... or at least document the terrible dealings with that seller and warn other potential victims... Always the possibility the seller went dark for a period but will pop back up to explain themselves... dont give up too easily..

You should be able to reverse the payment OP contact your bank and say you didn't authorise the transaction and they should reverse it and PayPal will go after him for the cash if he has transferred it out, its defiantly possible as it has happened to me on a genuine transaction before and after he received it payment was reversed and i never heard from him again and lost the item!

It turned out that the shipping took way longer than expected, and he was not aware of my worries. He has now himself apologized to me for being silent for a while, and the print is now on the way
