Invader...Yes /No... discuss, by cyberkid on Jan 30, 2017 8:51:04 GMT 1, The only Invader prints I've seen in gallaries have been the embossed pieces that look like tiles. I believe that his earlier pieces were flat prints. Anyone know anything about what these are? Can you give me titles that I can search on to see what they were like. www.Expressobeans/public/search.php?artist=2312

Invader...Yes /No... discuss, by Matt on Jan 30, 2017 9:42:47 GMT 1, Very derivative, no concept, What a strange thing to say about Invader !
I don't see what he is derivative of in terms of art. Granted he picked a video game as a topic, but in that case the Mona Lisa is derivative for being painted after a real person ?
His tile work may not be artistically groundbreaking, but certainly not derivative.
As for no concept, I mean the whole point of what he does is his invasion concept isn't it ?
Regardless of what one thinks of what he does, you have to admit it is relatively unique and follows an underlying artistic concept through and through

Invader...Yes /No... discuss, by Aza on Jan 30, 2017 9:56:29 GMT 1, I really like Invader, but to be honest I'm getting bored of it. I don't like all the pixelated stuff and much prefer the invaders, although I realise he needs to do more than just that, but I just don't like the other stuff.

Invader...Yes /No... discuss, by toshspice on Jan 30, 2017 11:37:27 GMT 1, Nice work but needs to be doing something regularly spectacular to make the long term leap into Banksy's orbit. Unless a high end gallery gets hold of him, in which case he's made and none of what I've just said makes a blind bit of difference.

So cool. When did you buy them?
I still have a bit of hope of having an og Invader.
Either now, or when (if (although I don't think it is improbable)) the prices come down.

Invader...Yes /No... discuss, by lucky7 on Jan 30, 2017 20:27:28 GMT 1, Who is buying all these Invader's at these prices? Where is his Brangelina? I guess that you know that there is very rich people, companies, even institutions, emirates, yakusas, etc etc ... that have a lot of money to spend ! Each alias is unic, and if the one is beautiful, big enough or amazing, he will take an owner... Invader is not stupid, if he put that price it's because he sold some at that price. Look, how many would put hundred of K for Invader table at Laz ? Alias are better than prints ( i have too, only public ones ) and it's easier to keep It at home ( not as prints very fragile in fact ) ... Invader, Banksy, Stil, my trio People don't remember how some are very very rich, buying a Picasso drawing as a pack of chips.
[/quote]
It's very easy to inflate the value of art. When you see important collectors and museums buying an artist, you more or less can accept the increase in price.
I'm not saying "no" but with Invader it's hard to tell.
You mention Emirates and Yakuzas. What happens when the price of oil goes down? What happens whe you need capital for a drug deal or end up in jail? Dump.

Bought them 2 years ago from the Hong Kong show.
