my wife's 30th birthday is coming up and I need a special gift.
We're are planning a trip to London in March and I'd like to give her a "surprise gift", which she'll get to know when we're in London.
Do you have an idea/recommendation like a special location, restaurant, park, guided tour,.... Something that is great but not part of the Top 10 tourists attractions.
Oh and she's pregnant, no bungee jumpig or cage fighting ;-)

Don't know your food tastes but for a more relaxed, but great dinner experiences, try Social Eating House (Poland Street), Tredwells, Berners Tavern or Bob Bob Ricard for a touch of Russian elegance.
I'll have a think for some other 'non-tourist experiences'

when i told my girlfriend i wanted to take her up the oxo tower for her birthday, she was a bit hesitant at first because she didn't really think it was her scene. how wrong she was! i mean, yeah, it was tough getting in and it's a bit of a strain on the old back pocket, and she admitted she felt a bit uncomfortable initially, but a couple of cocktails helped her relax and soon she was really getting into it - we carried on well into the night. it was a great experience and we both really loved it - so much so that she won't let me take her anywhere else now.
