Banksy Print are getting even Rarer , by Daniel Silk on Feb 16, 2017 2:06:57 GMT 1, With no new Banksy prints being released for so long, the number of prints must be ever decreasing ever day as pieces get framed badly, damaged, lost. And the number of Banksy Prints available for sale I guess is decreasing also as more find permanent homes or go into storage as part of gallery or investment collections.
I would say the more recent prints have been better taken care of, so maybe out of 100 prints, maybe 90 still exist in good condition. But for Banksy's early prints I would wonder if less than 50 out of 100 still exist, what do you think?

But for Banksy's early prints I would wonder if less than 50 out of 100 still exist, what do you think? From all I have seen I'd say much less than 50% all the way up to FC and definitely less than 90% from there. Even with the major change in price % wise, I've seen countless S&S, Nolas and CYWs completely ruined by framers as well. There's one the sticks in my mind...Was a local collector a few years a ago who had a white Nola and wanted to sell it. I met up with him and agreed on price ( about $18k back then) but told him I'd have to open the frame and inspect it before closing the deal. The piece ended up being spray mounted by an out of state framer before he moved. I was floored and felt horrible telling explaining to him. He had a morons he was keeping and that was ruined as well. Just horrible.

Banksy Print are getting even Rarer , by Deleted on Feb 16, 2017 16:32:35 GMT 1, the number of prints is getting less and less for sure...
i have said many times i would say there where around 75-100 signed prints on the market around the time of the NYC show..Better out than in....then probably 50-60 at Dismaland...now i would say there are no more than 20-30 (if even) signed prints actually available within the UK at any one time...i know it may look like more but alot of galleries advertise works they dont have or they are doubled up with another gallery both selling the same piece..
this is just my take on things...

Banksy Print are getting even Rarer , by Extra Ball on Feb 18, 2017 19:13:13 GMT 1, I think that some of POW's first customers were not aware of the value of their impressions. Rats punated on walls of students or others.
Rarity makes the value but who can reference the remaining impressions and in good condition?
Speaking of value, Banksy does not need this kind of investigation, the bubble that surrounds street art and he in particular is quite important. For future impressions his plan is clear to ensure stability in his odds, keep the mystery and arouse envy.
1. Impressions for the general public, small price signed / Unsigned
2. Impressions for the general public, average prices signed / Unsigned
3. Signed Public Impressions, Lottery
4. VIP Signed Impressions
5. Nothing
But almost everything is based on his anonymity, when his team and him will be unmasked ..... The artistic rating will be the same?

Banksy Print are getting even Rarer , by Ruggs on Feb 19, 2017 23:20:18 GMT 1, A friend of mine who has an u/s GWRB, purchased new from POW, had it inside an Ikea frame for more than eight years. I told her on several occasions to get it framed properly and to sort out a PC COA. Eventually she gave it to me so I could take it out of the frame and photograph for the Banksy authentication request application. Thankfully, to my surprise it was as perfect as the day she bought it. No discolouring, no foxing, creasing, tears etc. It now has a PC COA and is floated inside a proper box frame.
