Really, having won the league Ranieri should be able to take Leicester down, and have a chance to bring them back again, with dismissal not even a notional possibility until December this year, and even then only if everything's going terribly. In any other era, that would have been the case. But cash is king these days, that's the way it is, and if they've got someone lined up who they think can drag them out of the mire they kind of had to do it. Still, I hope the fans give 'em hell.

I know one man doesn't make a team but a massive loss for Leicester was that they sold Kante who protected that back 4 so brilliantly. Who's idea was it to sell him for ยฃ30m (was it?) to Chelsea? The board? The warning signs were there then as it didn't show much ambition by the club/board for this season. You would have thought that after last season they would have fought tooth and nail to keep everyone of that squad together, regardless if a player wanted to go or another club was interested. He seemed such a major part of the make up of that team. ยฃ30m isn't that much in footballing terms nowadays. And by all accounts he is having a great season at Chelsea. That ยฃ30m might now seem a small price to knock back in comparison to their league position today.
