This summer at least three UK exhibitions are hoping to cash in on Warhol mania and in August The Hospital arts centre in London is putting on a Banksy v Warhol show, echoing the 1985 exhibition Warhol v Basquiat, his protege. Earlier Banksy, the graffiti artist, paid his own tribute to Warhol with a series of Kate Moss paintings in the style of Warhol's depiction of Marilyn Monroe, which were themselves sold at Sotheby's for ยฃ50,400. They went for five times the estimates and more than doubled the high for Banksy's work.

Prices of his art/prints will in my opinion keep rising, and even after there will be heavy demand for his prints as new fans join the banksy rush. Meanwhile i ask the administrators of this board to invest in a large server to cater for the messages from new members to get to know more of banksy. :-)

that would be a fun piece to put together! you could take the Banksy "self portrait" image and combine it with the Warhol vs Basquiat one. change up the background images and presto!

It would be nice if this show started in London then travelled to a couple of major cities around the UK or was just based in a more central location.
