I was wondering if you could advise me on a certain matter...
I'm moving abroad (within the EU) for six months and I want to take my Sepia with me. I'm flying next week on Tuesday and I was wondering if you guys knew if it's just OK to take it on the plane with me? Do I need to declare it/pay anything etc?

taking banksy on the plane!, by bonesy on Jul 17, 2007 23:50:20 GMT 1, I flew back to the east coast (US) and had my giant LA Show tubes with me. I was sweating as technically 1 was too big to carry on and I had an oversized backpack and 2 of the oversized tubes. All was good.

They only allowed one item (so you wouldn't be able to take a bag and a tube), which needed to fit a certain size (I had to show the check in lady whether or not my bag fit in a measuring frame next to the check in desk) Could have just been an unlucky day, but I think it might be worth giving the airline/airport a ring to check. BTW it might also be worth mentioning that you can't take liquids through hand luggage unless its in containers that are no bigger than 100ml 
Haha, imagine having to dump all the important stuff like toothbrush, clothing and maybe the other half and just taking the banksy on your lap. Brilliant!

I could have literally killed a fellow train passenger a few years ago with the overhead storage.
I bought a very chunky heavy solid hard wood chopping board from London and put it on the overhead self, about halfway home the train went around a corner and the board came off, glancing the woman passenger sitting opposite me. She was badly shaken, slightly concussed and cut on her forehead. The gaurd was called and first aid given, I felt really guilty, it was a full train and everyone was starring at me. Lucky she didn't want to persue it legally and hopefully no long term brain damage was caused.
Let that be a lesson to you!

As long as the tube is no longer than 56cm long you are fine.
If it IS longer than that you are fucked and they WILL make you check it.
I fly on a weekly basis and am used to this bullshit.
Yes the rules suck but thats how they are at the moment.
