One can stay at many luxury hotels and be surrounded by beautiful art. That doesn't mean it will walk away but the small amount of depo here towards these works makes no sense |

Looking perhaps at staying in Bethlehem, and doing a bit of travelling around during our time. Will try to reserve the walled-in, but unlikely we'd get
Any advice? anyone else going?

You've got more chance of coming out of here alive than you have Brighton on a Saturday night. I must admit though it's all very quiet here. There doesn't seem to be many talking about if/when they are going. Maybe they are all holding out until they've read the TripAdvisor reviews.

Will take some planning but i've got a 5 day trip in mind which I think will be amazing (Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Dead Sea, etc). Always fancied going and Banksy has provided the motivation in 48 hours that the Catholic church failed to do in 42 years!
Ive read more on the whole occupation issue (from both sides of the argument) this week than id ever done before. If that is the purpose, then the exercise has surely worked.

Considering the value of the art on the walls that seems like a bargain no? I think it's to put people off vandalism or defacing the art rather than stealing it. It's probably connected to a security system anyway if it's removed off the wall. Who knows maybe a tracking system too. Plus Room furniture taken as a souvenir. I heard about people who steal from hotel rooms. I thought it was an urban myth. |
