Banksy - The Walled Off Hotel ★★★, by pippyt75 on Jun 28, 2017 20:41:24 GMT 1, Just got back from the hotel! What an amazing experience! Seems to be a lot of Banksy haters on here these days but go to the Walled Off and tell me he's not a man with an incredible imagination and rock solid principles. Seriously, if you haven't been then sell that Invader kit under your bed and get yourself out there!

Banksy - The Walled Off Hotel ★★★, by lee3 on Jul 28, 2017 15:31:10 GMT 1, At the airport finishing up my 20 hour air time return over a few days which has given me a lot of time to edit photos and video and put a highlight clip together. I had a wonderful time despite apprehensions on going with latest clashes. The level of detail on a 3 story hotel is unbelievable and I can't imagine how much time went into setting this up. It's run incredibly well and was great to get that feeling back jumping into his art. I can honestly say that every person I met over there had a smile on their face and a willingness to open up and discuss in detail the adversity of their daily lives. A healthy dose of perspective is a huge understatement. If you're going to the hotel later on don't watch this vid

Banksy - The Walled Off Hotel ★★★, by lee3 on Jul 28, 2017 15:42:40 GMT 1, Ha ha, thx that was mild in the grand scheme but a first for me and it made my eyes cry like a little child. My first reaction was to wipe my eyes and at the same time I hear my tour guide say "don't touch your face". Too late but makes for a good story. I had to laugh as I had tears running down my face and we past 3 older kids walking right into it with nary a tear. I guess you get used to it?

Banksy - The Walled Off Hotel ★★★, by nobokov on Jul 29, 2017 0:36:42 GMT 1, Nice video. I've been inspired to post more photos from my trip (with hopefully a slightly different perspective on some things). Presidential Suite
Public Areas Wall*Mart Al Fresco Dining Room Banksy Artist Room - It's a silvery/metallic background Aida Camp, Key of Return Stencil in the museum Kick a football over this neighbour's fence, you're not getting it back. A glass of red and some House of Cards in the Presidential Suite. The fountain. My "level of threat" rating at the airport. Google it. I have quite a few more... any requests? Awesome pics. Thanks for sharing!

Banksy - The Walled Off Hotel ★★★, by rob on Aug 15, 2017 14:08:41 GMT 1, I'm not sure if this has been mentioned on here before, but...
Has anyone noticed any (potentially, I could be wrong) deliberate mistakes in the hotel? As I haven't been yet I can only go by the website.
If you look at the image in the museum on the wall behind the desk it states a quote from Alfred Balfour in 1919. The Balfour Declaration was in 1917, the year given as the reason the hotel has opened to mark 100 years.
Plus, the declaration was from Arthur Balfour, not Alfred.
My own theory would be that Banksy wants people to do a bit of research into the history of the area, hence the library...
Any ideas??

The date for the quote is actually correct. It is from a memorandum in 1919 and not the actual declaration, but as for the wrong name I'm not entirely sure...

Banksy - The Walled Off Hotel ★★★, by chainsaw on Aug 16, 2017 0:28:25 GMT 1, Arthur James Balfour, 1st Earl of Balfour, 25 July 1848 – 19 March 1930
Its good to research things from multiple sources, and from reliable printed sources rather than things like Wiki where I got his name and dob from. (but did confirm name from other sources too)
Maybe it is a suggestion to do your own research and not rely on spoon fed internet sound bites and tweets. Or maybe its just a mistake.

Banksy - The Walled Off Hotel ★★★, by case on Sept 10, 2017 12:25:32 GMT 1, I am thinking about visiting the Walled Off end of October and trying to get some information which convince me to do it (I`m pretty much a wimp ...) and how. I`m sorry if some questions have been answered already. I just flew over the reports with pictures as I`m hoping to maybe get there I`m trying to avoid too many impressions in advance. Dismaland was an incredible experience but I wished I wouldn`t have seen many pictures before getting there.
I definetely would want to spend a night in the hotel to get the full experience but ask myself how many nights should I stay there. Do you think one night would be enough and then maybe change to another cheaper hotel in the area? And if some nights there, would you change the rooms to get more impressions or would this be very time consuming with all the checkups after you leave a room?
I`d like to do everything they offer (museum, Wall Mart spraying, day tours ...) and am not sure if this is only possible for their guests. I know the museum can be visited by anybody and you`d have to pay for but not about the rest.
Would you recommend the pickup service from the hotel?
Many thanks!

I would stay two nights and change rooms, its no big deal and hotel staff will sort your bags out. It is not time consuming, we left one room, went on a tour and came back to find our bags in the new rooms.
We used their hotel transfers, got through checkpoint in a flash, i think others may do so too but dont know for sure.
If you stay in hotel the museum is free, cost a few quid i think. I would recommend the tours.
To get to see as much as possible in the hotel you need to be a hotel resident as there is more on display that only residents get access to.

Banksy - The Walled Off Hotel ★★★, by pippyt75 on Sept 10, 2017 18:53:38 GMT 1, Definitely do the tours organised by the hotel. They will live with you. And if you have time go to the Dead Sea! Such fun just bobbing around! And be sure to get someone to take you to see Flower Thrower at the car wash! It's stunning! Oh, and try the pizza at the hotel! As a greedy man I can confirm it's really good!

I stayed there with my wife and teenage daughters. There is a small tv room with a bed settee in it and my daughters slept in it. I think that the sofas in the main room can be used as well. The room sleeps 4 easily.

Stay for more than 1 night, but unless youre planning on spending the whole 48 hours the hotel i wouldnt bother moving rooms as it eats into your trip. You can just look around the others between check out/in.

If I book the room for 2 nights does that cover me and another guest?

Banksy - The Walled Off Hotel ★★★, by pippyt75 on Sept 19, 2017 0:21:23 GMT 1, Looking for some help with booking. The booking page doesn't give an option for how many guests are staying, how many guests does the Banksy Artist Room sleep? If I book the room for 2 nights does that cover me and another guest? the bed is huge! And the booking is for the room so you'll be covered for 2 people.
