What is the best way to do it any advice or help will help great also I'm heavily tattooed (hands neck head etc ) do you foresee any probs with that

Been there multiple times, never had any problems. Be polite and don't lie. Say you visit Bethlehem / Palestine to go to Banksy's hotel (most of the airport staff know who Banksy is), reason for that is because you're an art lover, bla bla.. Some friends of mine once lied, said they were going to Tel Aviv, although they went to the WOH.. That ended up in a 1 hour questioning.. So just be honest.. All in all never had any problems there, but I understand your worries at the 1st time.

You're going with your wife. You will have no issues as you are a low risk travelling with family. Might be more of a risk to them if you are a lone traveller (happy to be contradicted)

Been a few times without any hassle on arrival or departure. First time we were asked where we were staying, we had a night in Tel Aviv booked, but next time no questions. On departure we were asked a few questions in the queue before check in but nothing sinister.
Hopefully Irl1 will be along soon as he has been loads of times !

Sure. Like I said, most of them even know about the hotel. No need to worry about all of it so much, you're not doing anything forbidden.. You'll be fine.

Ive mentioned it before, but you are staying in Bethlehem and theres nowt wrong with saying that or mentioning the hotel... just try and avoid percieved political terms such as Palestine and the seperation wall.
If they were that bothered about the hotel, im sure theyd have found a way to close it down by now.

I always say i'm going to see the sights (make sure you know some of them) and an art exhibition. If they do ask about the exhibition tell them its in the hotel. A new one just started on the 10th of March. I never had a problem on my own last Sep, with a friend and with family. I would recommend you using the hotel taxi from and back to the airport, its 150 dollars each way, but well worth it, more so as its your first time. You will have a great time as there is loads to see. |

Tell them you’re visiting Bethlehem to see the Church Of Nativity And religious sites as well as the hotel. Everything will be fine.
Only problem I’ve had was flying with Israel Air.

Only longer security experience I've had (20-30 min) was when leaving the country with 4 Wall Sections and 4 Box Sets in my luggage. Had to unpack all of them, show them to the security guard (who luckily knew Banksy as well), explain him especially what the idea behind the Wall Sections was.. But in the end I actually thought he started to like them. Like already mentioned, in such "questionings" they shoot question after question after question at you.. My answers were secondary here, it looked more like they cared about the way I behaved and reacted to his highspeed questioning.
