There will be haters who will pick out one or two individual pieces but they miss the point. This isn't about individual works of art but a whole concept like Dismaland. This is on a whole new level than other artists touted by certain people on the forum.

The "luxury hotel with views of the wall" concept is strong enough to carry itself; going further and turning it into a 5-star Banksy-themed funhouse feels clumsy. It seems counter-intuitive but I would argue putting easy-to-consume political art on the walls actually weakens the concept by making the existential tension of the situation more palatable for visitors; buy a room, get your penitence free
There's a lot more than 'easy-to-consume' political art going on here....

I was amazed to hear that there was already a Banksy tourism trade there plus a Banksy shop selling mugs etc. Quite a legacy from some 9 years ago.

It's funny here ( I did not follow the conversation as I am about shamefull to be poor - all is relative - , as I won't go coz I'm not enough rich and superbroke - superbloke ? I dunno - a lot here spoke again about VIP , prints or not, food, sleep, money, airport, tourism ( that s great what did Banksy , best idea ever, no contemporary artist dare ( or they don't care ) to mix art, tourism, politic without to make politic, geopolitic, war and extrem survey/tension, colonial style, importation of occidental fellows to an abandonned countryside, to color and Graf the biggest wall - before the Mexican one, hippie music etc etc ...
