Iโm sure the speculation will resume on the announcement of the exhibition.

Everyone has moaned about having open edition or timed releases etc when they do give everyone the chance, itโs then an Ill judgement.

I was hoping it would have come across with a little doubt but not to much, hence the โIโm sureโ instead of it will, maybe that is down to no tone when presented as we are on a forum instead of in front of each other. You are, of course, perfectly entitled to your opinion and yes, it would be far easier having a discussion about this over a beer than on a forum where each word is analysed (especially by a pedantic f*cker like me)
Part of the problem is that a lot of posts on here are just smoke and mirrors. I asked why people thought this was such a great price and got not response so can only assume that rather than a knowledgable insight into his market, this was people trying to protect their investments.
I like the artist and have this print prominently displayed in my house but I do believe people come on here hoping to find some sort of insight into the art world and therefore am more than happy to call out the BS when I see it.
For the record, I believe love letter was a bit of a mess of a release from the misleading title to the fact he didn't provide a piece of perspex for the lid, some decent packaging and a couple of fixings so it was ready to hang.
What about the 'suprise' printed lid? Simple, apply the birds in a sympathetic way to the flipside of the mountboard making that reversible as the piece is.
A few more layers of bubblewrap and the work would have been ready to hang without the environmental impact and cost of buyers having to get the piece framed
