Same here worked out Aus $690. I let it go from the basket 5 mins ago. Rather save and pay double for an older larger stained messier bast. And someone quoted trumps hair, I read that then 100% changed my mind.. ๐

Wasn't the Carnegie Yellow an edition of 5? Would that count as a print release because of such a small edition? Gallery releases are the much much smaller editions right? It has been a long while since he has released anything over an edition of 5 it would seem. |

Carnegie Yellow was certainly part of the last print drop that I have recorded.
Looking at my files, they do seem to have been created in 2011, not 2012. So I think you are right about it being 2011.

One of the most epic drop days ever. I remember waking up xmas morning to the email and rushing to his site. Lucky for me, I don't celebrate xmas so it made scoring something that much more possible. Who knew it'd be this long before the shop re-opened. Super bummed about missing this one. Hopefully he has more releases planned in the near future. Again, if anyone decides they don't want theres, please hit me up

Bast has been heavily in the street art scene for a long time. Working with Faile, getting involved with POW and Banksy events, mixing it up with Paul Insect... And generally being regarded as an "artist's artist" for his innovation and ability to "keep it real" in the world of tagging and general vandalism... as well as his fine art and working with fashion labels like Marc Jacobs. He's also one of the few artists that keeps his identity secret, because he still does illegal stuff (although just recently seems to be relaxing on that a bit).
So there's that... And scarcity of prints. Mostly small hand finished editions, made by himself and not by a hired print studio.
