Although I know neither, a message to either to help the process I'm sure would do no harm at all, and would help you realize the best for what is a great piece. All the best.

Stik Lovers, by white rose on Jul 30, 2019 9:57:08 GMT 1, Hi Sierrahotel, Thank you for the info and advice. Do you know what the fees are for sellers at Christies? Warm regards Seller pays 6-7% on hammer price. Buyer pays fees on top incl royalty to artist. The benefit is totally above board, canโt get scammed with an eBay/ Paypal refund. Con is lack of clarity on price. You risk barely hitting your reserve, but can get lucky too. If you do private sale absolutely insist on bank transfer (not Paypal ) before sending. Good luck! Bank transfers are risky as well. I've heard stories of people sending funds with the reference 'Cleared Funds' which will confuse the person into thinking it has been cleared. People can also set up a transfer using a cheque which will bounce or even a bank transfer backed by a direct debit, which can be cancelled before 5pm same day. The advice is to wait before releasing the print.

Not to mention as I buyer I wouldnโt consider a bank transfer to anyone without stellar reputation and references. Even then Iโd be hesitant, with bank transfer the buyer has no recourse if issues arise.

Hi WhiteRose,
Thank you so much for your advice, this is something that we do fear. If we decide to sell privately we will take caution.

Hi NYart
We totally appreciate your post, and fully understand the risks to both sides of a private transaction.
Thank you

Stik Lovers, by irl1 on Jul 30, 2019 16:14:33 GMT 1, If your taking a bank transfer/wire this is the only way to do it.
Meet in their bank and go to the counter with them. Get them to do a "same day transfer" (costs 25 euro extra)
It normally leaves their account in 10/15 minutes but you won't have it in your account for a few hours, you can get it before then but at tops it takes a few hours.
You must do a same day bank transfer before 1pm or it might be the next day before you receive it. (Most banks have a 1pm cutoff time for the same day.
**Before you leave the bank wait about 15 minutes and then go back to the counter and get the person who served you to confirm with a manager it has left the buyers account and is on the way to yours. This can only be confirmed by a manager as it gets signed off by him/her.**
It cannot be canceled by the buyer after its on the way to your bank but do confirm this at the counter.
This works for accounts being sent worldwide. Or if you still feel unhappy stay with the seller for the few hours and then hand it over when its in your bank, that's if the seller agrees as you could take off with the art

Stik Lovers, by pulpos on Oct 16, 2020 23:44:12 GMT 1, Hello, I have 2 original limited edition prints from Stik. Lovers (blue) Authenticated by Squarity. Number 14/50 With the embossed mark and the artist pencil signature at the front. Date: Oct 2011 Framed and in perfect condition.
Walk (red) Authenticated by Squarity Number 34/50 With the embossed mark and the artist pencil signature at the front. Date: april 2012 Framed and in perfect condition.
I have just contacted Phillips & Christies to get in touch with me. Looking to sell at appropriate prices, I am NOT in a rush to sell, so please don't waste my time with stupid prices. Happy to hear offers that are reasonable.
DM me if you want to find out more.
Thanks Pulpos.

Stik Lovers, by pulpos on Oct 17, 2020 2:26:16 GMT 1, Thanks for the compliment.
No, they are not faded. It is the reflection of the glass. No sun has ever hit them directly as they hang in my kitchen away from any window, so they have not faded away.
They have been framed since May 2012 (when I bought them).
The frames are red & blue but obviously not matching the exact colors of the prints hence they are both a different tone.

Stik Lovers, by sarah86 on Oct 17, 2022 14:24:23 GMT 1, We are now reconsidering selling our stik lovers print in blue, I say reconsidering as we are in no rush to sell, be it in 6 months or 2 years time. The reasons before when we wanted to sell it were our wedding and a house move, but we managed to fund that ourselves. Now we would like to invest in our home with a new extension and will have to part with our print to fund it. Not too certain on the current value. We are thinking of putting it into auction, which auction house do you think would be best for this item and which time of year? Any/all advice greatly appreciated
