but what is so attractive to the work of Stik? Isnt it the most boring thing to see? Where do you see the inspiration/skill of the artist? What is happening on those prints? does the man have an incredible street status or so that I dont know of? For me the work is boring and not well executed (lovers, with the closed eyes, it is just not good IMO). Please tell me your opinion, I'm not judging, it's probably I miss... But with so much enthusiasm for this work on the forum I'm just very curious what it means to you!

For me its the way he can create an image that shows emotion with little detail. Couldn't care about his art history, I like what he is doing because its simple yet effective and it makes me smile.

This is before i got to know him.
I had been an admirer of his street work for years, the scale of them, the amount of them and Stik's relentlessness to 'keep them clean' (erasing tags ect). when i finally meet the guy (ok he was up a ladder) i asked him why i couldnt get any of his work? the rest they say is history.

Glad to see everything is working out for him.

I think that pic fingerz pointed out was from the show @ Graffik - personally I wasn't keen, especially as the (IMO) crappy framing cost ยฃ200 extra!!
Not got mine done yet, but am going for a chunky white box frame - I want to get it floated but my framer guy is umm-ing and ahh-ing about it. Does anyone know if there's a limit on the size of print that can be float mounted?
Are you gonna about for "first Thursday" gallery shenanigans next month? There are a couple of biggies opening that night...

We played with the idea of floating, but the possibility of the paper waving would scare. I can't wait to see some when people start getting them back from the framers!
