Kaws + NIKE, by Deleted on Mar 31, 2017 17:03:08 GMT 1, Everyone just wants these to flip it's a nonsense. If these were general release with no resell value I'm sure most people here wouldn't be interested in them. Many artists have released collaboration sneakers before and they have sat on shelves for years such as Damien Hirst converse, kaws Nike air max 90s and many more.
Nike have been falling behind adidas in terms of hype and popularity recently and this has been played out really well by them. (Nike still well ahead in sales but hype is free publicity and they haven't been doing so well)
Also the plastics, rubber, foam etc that make up the show has a shelf life and won't be able to be displayed forever so wearing them and enjoying them is the way to do it, these won't be worth much more than double retail this time next year.
These are made to be worn and if I got a pair i would wear them doesn't matter how much they are reselling for (I collect sneakers and have sneakers much more valuable than these Insta @yoyokop)

Like every other shoe, the price starts very high before release date, then comes down as people get their pairs on release day and look to flip and then slowly and steadily continually rise over time. These shoes will drop to around 1500 the day after they release and by next year it will not be possible to get a pair for under 2K.

those shoes trade hands for about $2K a pair. There is no possible way that they are selling authentic shoes if they have a full size run of this shoe (which released over a year ago) at half of the retail price.

What are you basing the price increase over time on?
Look at every single Jordan that has dropped in the last 2 years and tell me which has increased over that time???
We are living in a world where people jump from release to release and whatever came out last month is history.
Most demand is made up from resellers so the demand is already over inflated.
Pairs are being sold right now for ยฃ1000(sneakers forums) this will increase slightly and then drop off, I'm basing my opinion on what I have seen happen already previously and the fickle nature of today's buyers who just need them to flex on Instagram then need to cash in to but the next Yeezy or whatever else adidas are dropping.

Fake or a scam, if it looks too good to be true it usually is.
These are only going to stores with a Tier Zero Nike account and only a select amount of those. Oh and kaws one.
Get your refunds in ASAP before they ship you fakes and you have to deal with the headache of trying to get a refund.

Does the artist care about every single one of their fans that wanted a pair? If they dont care about us why should we care about them?

I had the same argument on the kidrobot forum a couple of years ago, and now look where we are with the toys!

Shouldn't an artist be flattered thier stuff is being faked? I mean that just means demand is greater than supply. Indirectly its a compliment. All the 'greats' in the art world have been faked.
