One selling for $4,600 right now, thought I saw one go for $3K recently and one sold for $2,800. Infact it might have even been euros. Secondly i have a strong suspicion that the person who sold an RVE for that price, even in £ realised a bit later on and kicked their cat really hard. Ha these forums are full of paranoia. I heard that in the EB forum and here since joining. As if I am trying to be someone else. Might be a good new thread. Just joined to have good conversations, fun, learn something, and stay up on latest art news. If I was trying to hide I would not have used this username.
These updates are valuable to try and score an Invader, had the last one but the stupid CC company denied it as flagged for fraud and by the time I cleared them up all gone.

It'll be a crapshoot like the last release, got lucky on RVE not Scattercrow. I'll wake up and try for it during breakfast but we all know what we're signing up for.

Who said I want this print to flip it? Who said I have debt? I don't have any debt but thanks for trying to take what I said and make it about me even though this conversation is about potential US buyers. Not once have I flipped anything on here in the 4 years being on this board. Think i have successfully sold maybe 1 or 2 prints on here for either cost or market value. Hate to say this but 99% of the people going for this print are going to try and flip it. That is just common sense. Actual collectors who will frame this is the 1%. Why you say? Because his prices are dumb insane. If his value never went through the roof, the hype would not be like it is. Since I have never purchased an Invader before, buy and hang on the wall would be the ONLY reason to collect him for me. I have never had a successful chance to buy an invader. I tried to purchase a couple kits of his over time but never had a chance even when he had a release time/date with nothing random. Crashing pages (Which we all have grown a custom too), oversold with refunds etc.
Sorry mate, but I have to call bullshit on this one. I am Australian and have dealt with the alarms/staying up etc. - that's the price of admission. But the real issue here is your claim on the kits: I copped 3/3 of the last kits (excluding OTA), and I'm just a regular guy, old PC, no bots - and his website never crashed. All three were what they call "easy cops". In fact, if you go through the forum history to those drops, you can see people humming and harring about the price - especially since IK15 & IK16 when the prices were raised significantly. I walked in, overcame the fear of shelling out for something I liked, (but felt a little guilty about because let's be honest - buying art is a first world problem, and it was right on the edge of justifiable affordability for me at the time) and hit 'buy', checkout, done. There was more than enough time to hesitate and consider what I was doing - as another user said, one of them was a staggered release, and I saw them available for hours afterwards.
With these hits come misses, and I missed out on both Aladdin Sane & RVE (after missing out on Aladdin, I pulled the trigger on red Space One on ebay for USD800 - because I liked it). Wasn't taken with the Wipeout prints, or the Mona Lisa/Astroboy/Pocari etc. - but had ample opportunity to buy these. And the cigarette posters. And the album cover. Let's face it, anyone who has wanted Invader over the last few years has only had to commit to themselves and their faith in an artist (and desire to send the money directly to him). Yes it stung paying huge sums (at the time) for those kits - but the opportunity was 100% there for fans, no bots required.
I flew all the way to Paris to check out his latest show; you can set an alarm. I'm the first to admit I'm an "Invader nutter" like another used said (I'd sew a patch on my jacket if one existed - and yes, I already have that one), so I'll be there tonight, no bots, having a go.
Once again for whatever reason, people like you decide to attempt to decipher peoples comments like there is a hidden message in it. Who said I want this print to flip it? Who said I have debt? I don't have any debt but thanks for trying to take what I said and make it about me even though this conversation is about potential US buyers. Not once have I flipped anything on here in the 4 years being on this board. Think i have successfully sold maybe 1 or 2 prints on here for either cost or market value. Hate to say this but 99% of the people going for this print are going to try and flip it. That is just common sense. Actual collectors who will frame this is the 1%. Why you say? Because his prices are dumb insane. If his value never went through the roof, the hype would not be like it is. Since I have never purchased an Invader before, buy and hang on the wall would be the ONLY reason to collect him for me. I have never had a successful chance to buy an invader. I tried to purchase a couple kits of his over time but never had a chance even when he had a release time/date with nothing random. Crashing pages (Which we all have grown a custom too), oversold with refunds etc.Sorry mate, but I have to call bullshit on this one. I am Australian and have dealt with the alarms/staying up etc. - that's the price of admission. But the real issue here is your claim on the kits: I copped 3/3 of the last kits (excluding OTA), and I'm just a regular guy, old PC, no bots - and his website never crashed. All three were what they call "easy cops". In fact, if you go through the forum history to those drops, you can see people humming and harring about the price - especially since IK15 & IK16 when the prices were raised significantly. I walked in, overcame the fear of shelling out for something I liked, (but felt a little guilty about because let's be honest - buying art is a first world problem, and it was right on the edge of justifiable affordability for me at the time) and hit 'buy', checkout, done. There was more than enough time to hesitate and consider what I was doing - as another user said, one of them was a staggered release, and I saw them available for hours afterwards. If you think that makes me stupid, grow up. Not all of us have £4k to drop on a print. I have already said many times that I don't plan on selling this any time in the foreseeable future. You need to calm down.
If you don't get one at source you won't be getting one for £1500 on secondary if that's what your limit is. Percentages and ROI don't come into it, the demand creates a higher secondary price. There are other factors that I can't be bothered to go into. Good luck with getting one, you'll need it.
