I’m a big supporter of sharing info and giving heads-ups on upcoming drops I’m interested in. But, Mark always asks in his emails that we not share his links (and I try to honor the request out of respect). That being said, he didn’t ask that this latest link not be shared (but I assumed his long standing request still applied).

No real point, just some relevant context. I agree with you, this site is for urban art lovers to come to together, discuss, and share. That’s what brought me and what keeps me.

I’ve seen a few prints from this artist pop up on this forum I like but wasn’t aware of any mailing list. Thanks to Astarti I now have a chance to pick one up directly and not at secondary prices. I appreciate that this may also give some unscrupulous members the opportunity to try and flip these but if we’re not able to share info like this what’s the point of this forum?
There is a bit of history with this forum in particular and Mark Drew drops. He used to be fine with sharing the links even when they were very quick sell outs anyway. Then a certain member or two here kicked up a lot of trouble for him, from then on I personally got asked to not share anymore drops and that’s about the time things got a lot more secretive on these drops. Mark is a great guy and I respect the way he wants to do things.

You’ll need to develop a thicker skin if you want to survive around here. I’d email him direct and take it from there..

Mark said I was *super* lucky since he sold those only to his friends in Australia before moving to Tokyo.

Everyone on the list worked it out. He's a very nice guy and will probably put you on the list if you ask nicely. Some on here may struggle with that last part.
If an artist wants to release a print just to those who have bought from them before, that seems like their prerogative. It's not somehow unfair not to share the link. He sometimes sells privately and sometimes through galleries. That's his choice.

Then he started to blow up and went with the foam/flat packaging after a few complaints, I'm guessing. I never thought some of those prints would go for 700+ and by his packaging, neither did he. I think that's why he stop producing so many as well.
