I'm not sure what to think as it's a huge step from stencil to this. I don't see anything wrong with a change of direction if he is true to himself. It's just a massively different change and it seems like he is now going for another market, but not sure if the same old fans will follow.

IMO Norway has an extremely loyal collector base, many being high net worth individuals. So I think him having all his "new style" shows locally he still sells pieces from his constituents which keeps him going in this sort of vacuum of reality. I can't imagine anything selling outside of Norway and his devoted inner collector base, not that he needs the money. If he had socked away half of what was hauled in even his last few years from prints and originals he should be very well off. |

I don't dislike it, it's just a huge move to this. If it was a new artist on the scene I'd be all for it, but just don't understand the leap, it's two completely opposite styles. No harm in trying though, he wouldn't be the first to do so and can always go back to stencils if it doesn't work.

And all to their own, but I think some of these pieces are great and especially seeing them in person was a good experience.
