How much was first tier? Love this

£495 first tier

i picked one up at the current tier.. still seems reasonable. Reminds me a little of Howard Hodgkins Swimming.. probably why i like it so much..

Yes, that was my first thought. It must be Shrigleys homage to Howard Hodgkin. Love it, but too much at this tier for me.

I showed it to my son, who laughed so much he fell over, and to my daughter, who copied the text down so she could read it to her friends, and to my wife, who thought it was fabulous and started picking out the precise bit of wall it could live on.

And then it sold out.

Still, that's £480 plus framing costs saved.

I mean, tiered pricing happens, but that is one mighty increase isn't it?

That's ridiculous.  

Maybe they will "reprice" the next release that doesn't sell too well.....doubt it.  Wish they didn't say that.  Shoulda made something up.  That's really poor form IMO.

Odd structure. I've never known Jealous to do this before? I know they often do an early bird price but not one that fluctuates?

I don't think this was too greater an increase. His last Olympic edition went from 400 ish to 2k. I love his work though. It no says poa on the site. Have no idea how much they will be at the fair. Let's hope people are still able to pick up at 700.

Oh yes, let's hope that everyone can pay 700 instead of the 495 release price! I also thought they were being released at the print fair - wonder if they will be 495 at the print fair itself?
