Graffiti Prints archive vaults open today, by soupy on May 6, 2018 16:02:37 GMT 1, prices are insane on a lot.
GP usually prides themselves on offering great art at great prices.... but certainly not the case for the vault openings.

Managed to get through to the payment screen for the whatson dancer print, but then it was gone. Theyโre the only two that are sold out, apparently.

Graffiti Prints archive vaults open today, by Art Fan 2011 on May 6, 2018 16:23:35 GMT 1, Im really surprised that people are paying these prices, so many are available for less already on the open market - its the "GP Fever" factor!

A lot of GP followers probably have deep pockets and don't know any better. Also, they'd rather throw money at the source than a "flipper"

Graffiti Prints archive vaults open today, by GMA on May 6, 2018 16:45:28 GMT 1, Anyone know how much they had Pez - Hopscotch on for? I was out today, enjoying a nice pint in the sun. Get back home, and saw the email and just knew I'd have missed it again. I've had it offered on here before but it was out of reach price wise so I'm curious to see how much they had it up for. Judging by the prices though, I'd expect it to be ยฃ850 or something.

Graffiti Prints archive vaults open today, by soupy on May 6, 2018 16:54:02 GMT 1, it is interesting that GP certainly maintains a firm stance against flipping and goes above and beyond to try to get the art into hands of fans/collectors while at the same time.... pricing archive releases at secondary market levels (or even above). certainly a bit of a contradiction in practice.

I disagree.
They're not flipping their own prints, as the vault sales are always "older" editions, so I don't see how you can compare the two? And why wouldn't they sell their own personal copies (leftovers) at market or above?
You've never sold a print for market before?

Graffiti Prints archive vaults open today, by pulpmaster on May 6, 2018 17:16:02 GMT 1, Well.. When you hold back prints on release because you know you sell at release at artificially low prices to create a hype, then start sneaking these prints back on the market through Vault sales (and a number of ebay accounts) at market prices or even above a few months after release, it's problematic when you are the "seller's agent" and want to keep your "integrity". Their "battle" against "flippers" is just a bit silly for me. They are not against flipping since some people seem to get hold of quite a few pieces of each release if they want. I think they just prefer their own flippers to flip....

You've never sold a print for market before? i understand the difference and am not making a perfect 1-to-1 comparison. however, they also have the opportunity to release these older prints at prices closer to release prices. and many of these releases are really not that old. either way, they are recognizing the secondary market prices often times established by resellers that they so often battle against. was just pointing out the inherent contradiction in philosophy.

Graffiti Prints archive vaults open today, by galaxy01 on May 6, 2018 19:38:25 GMT 1, All priced close to market value which is good for a gallery. So good buys if you want them.
I was watching the Whatson Originals on paper of the butterflies, even at 3.30pm they still said coming soon, so I next was free to look at 5 and theyd removed it all.
Why did they not come available? Or did they eventually?
