One is that Freeny does it to all the branded toys and therefore Kaws who created a brand by riding on the back of fashion adverts when he plastered his own name all over them to gain publicity for himself, is also fair game for Freenyism.
The other is that Freeny is promoting himself on the back of Kaws name knowing if he did Kaws toy that it would generate publicity.

As for it being more "correct", what about muscles? Freeny's version doesn't seem to have any, or space for them between bones and skin... so all that is nonsense.

I imagine KAWS might be feeling a bit that way.. It probably doesn't help that Freeny's anatomical interpretation gives a sharper look to the original.

While you made my day by posting a Portlandia clip, it doesn't really apply. The two issues that clip is concerned with are legality and quality. On the first front, Freeny's rendition is not a counterfeit or bootleg; it uses an a proper production piece as the base with alteration done to it. And there is no intent to create multiples, as this is a one-of-a-kind work of art. As for quality, I guess that's somewhat in the eye of the beholder, but I think anyone that takes a moment to access Freeny's work will admit it was done with skill and care, regardless of if it's their "cup of tea". Now, if my original post had been about Sucklord, then your video would've been spot onโฆย
