Felipe Pantone π¦π· Exhibition News β’ Contemporary Art , by rjf76 on Jun 22, 2017 18:21:32 GMT 1, They probably could have saved money by not including a tote bag and instead focused on better packaging. Not sure why they thought the way they shipped would be safe. Glad mine arrived without incident, but I feel hesitant to even store the print in the box for now just in case.
I agree! Only moved mine about 10ft but feel the need to check again and resecure!!!π

Anyway, they are are absolute stunning prints.

Ball seems to have been left in my court currently with sourcing somewhere to repair. Anyone know somewhere good in Brighton / Sussex so I can avoid courier to London.

That is where they treat the whole print for perfect results. They can however burnish the crease making it less noticeable. Not exactly what I was hoping to hear from them.

Shame so many damaged, wasn't like they scrimped on the packaging as came nicely boxed with the bag etc. Just wasn't much tolerance to accommodate any movement and the folded cardboard seems to have caught some prints.

Felipe Pantone π¦π· Exhibition News β’ Contemporary Art , by Acme Thunderer on Jun 23, 2017 21:49:32 GMT 1, Cant wait to get mine to my trusted framer for 9am on Saturday morning as this is my first serious art purchase for 18 months and fits the exact spot in my new house.
I feel really sorry for those who had damaged prints. When I saw the packaging, I thought some might get dented in the middle, but not around the edges. From my experience so far, Avant Arte have quick customer service so please bear with them. If anyone has probs, I have several contact details within the gallery which I can pass on if that helps you out.
Despite this, I am so very grateful to Avant Arte for sending these flat. This means I can get mine float mounted without waiting for my framer to wait......... for it to be flat.
Please ignore any comments (or get flamed) about the printing process as this is really an amazing piece of ***ARTWORK***. I will emphasise this is about about ART and not process. Only those who have the print IN HAND are worthy of comment, so if you dont have one to look at, you comments to me are frankly worthless.
I NORMALLY KEEP MY COMMENTS SHORT AND WITHOUT CONFLICTION, BUT IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS PRINT IN PERSON, THEN PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT ANY FURTHER (only those who own this print have knowledge to comment, which is why I can send this π )

No, I don't own it. I have no idea whether I'm flaming, as I don't have a clue what that means.

Flaming is negativity or sabotage - and just as bad as flippers in my opinion (ever done that?) There has been enough on here already which is why we should start to appreciate this work?

I didn't miss out because I didn't try to buy one. So no need to be sorry. I haven't been negative about it. Save regarding the damaged prints. I think they should be replaced. $100 is a rubbish offer. You ask if I've ever flipped artwork. No. Never. And, I thought you might be joking when you said no one who doesn't own one has the right to comment. Maybe not. If you were serious, well, that's rediculous. Of course anyone can comment. It's an art forum. If I can only comment on the art I own, I'm somewhat stifled, no?

You said only those who had bought the print could comment on it. That's what I took exception to. It's clearly wrong. If you are happy with it (and you were lucky to receive one without damage) good for you.

Felipe Pantone π¦π· Exhibition News β’ Contemporary Art , by Ruggs on Jun 24, 2017 0:39:12 GMT 1, Just caught up with this thread. Damaged prints, why the f**k doesn't that surprise me. On so many occasions this forum has heard stories of artists, publishers and galleries sending goods out in sub-standard packaging. These guys should take a day out with the likes of Counter Editions, Other Criteria and White Cube to find out how to package and distribute prints properly and professionally. No point having a bloody wonderful website if you can't handle a simple task of distributing customers goods properly. And they're offering piddly compensation. Ridiculous! They should offer 100% refund or supply a new print with better packaging.
Just caught up with this thread. Felipe Pantone π¦π· Exhibition News β’ Contemporary Art , by Acme Thunderer on Jun 24, 2017 0:40:00 GMT 1, Only those who have the print IN HAND are worthy of comment, so if you dont have one to look at, you comments to me are frankly worthless. I NORMALLY KEEP MY COMMENTS SHORT AND WITHOUT CONFLICTION, BUT IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THIS PRINT IN PERSON, THEN PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT ANY FURTHER (only those who own this print have knowledge to comment, which is why I can send this π ) ... Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! ... I must admit .... I have read some ridiculous stuff over the past few years, but this really is ... CAPS LOCK AS WELL ... Brilliant! (I will lock this thread - only the owners of said prints can PM me together with photographic proof (in hand) will be allowed to comment and post on this thread in future - I will unlock at agreed time ... Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!) PS: I am sorry to hear of all of those people who received damaged prints. It sounds as though they did well with the packaging itself, but forgot the basics. I hope it can get resolved. Lock the thread for using CAPS LOCK!
This really makes some Mods (Dappy) a complete joke for not allowing informed members having an opinion on art they actually own.
The negative comments come from those without seeing the print in person.

Are they not offering full refunds?
