Felipe Pantone π¦π· Exhibition News β’ Contemporary Art , by kuni on Jun 21, 2018 14:10:32 GMT 1, damn that red is gorgeous. Definitely my favorite of the 3 colorways, although I'm not complaining about my gold one bit. That thing is stunning though. Have you decided how you're going to frame it?

Felipe Pantone π¦π· Exhibition News β’ Contemporary Art , by Forbidden Love on Jun 21, 2018 21:33:54 GMT 1, General question, would you still buy an original over these if you were offered one and had the means? Every day of the week, without any doubt or hesitation, regardless of the artist... Over the last year I sold a great deal of my prints to buy a handful of OGs from the same artists, and I do not regret it one bit Today I try to only have prints from artists where I would not fork out an OG (whether the price is too high for me like Banksy, or whether I feel OGs are stupidly priced for size / quality like JR)
I think I would not turn this down over an og. The process and quality of these look fantastic.
Iβm not sure what original I would be happy with to replace it for the same money. I have seen some cheap old insect ogβs and from memory for a bit cheaper but didnβt like the image one bit, so would deff opt for this over an original by the same artist. Obv itβs dependant on what original.
I bought a gold and itβs going straight to the framers. I havnt opened the box yet, looking very forward to doing it over the weekend. They all look fantastic but I do love the gold variant.
All of them look π₯

Obviously
"would you prefer a great print or a crap original"
that's a bit different...

For Β£1100 which original would you choose over this.
Obv no wrong or right answer, just curious.

For Β£1100 which original would you choose over this. Obv no wrong or right answer, just curious. You really can't get much of an original, even from many of the local artists I like, for ~$1500. Raising the budget to $2500-3k changes things though, which is closer to the price of the variants. I recently saw a nice Mr. Jago original at auction that went for around $2k. There was a nice Pose OG that went for about $3500 on these boards a few months back. I might consider either of those over this print...maybe.

I understood the original question as "would you choose an go over a print, in general" not specifically regarding Paul Insect or Avant Arte...so I was answering in general, not regarding this release.

Felipe Pantone π¦π· Exhibition News β’ Contemporary Art , by Express Post on Jun 21, 2018 23:26:02 GMT 1, Just to clarify, question was intended for P. Insect.
Asked because the quality of these particular editions surpassed everyone's expectations, was it even worth bothering with an original?

I had the opportunity to get one but the funds were just not there and I will not go into (to much) debt to buy art, so congratulations to all who did manage to get one.
Keep the framed photos coming please!

Felipe Pantone π¦π· Exhibition News β’ Contemporary Art , by Pavoni on Jul 20, 2018 2:15:33 GMT 1, Got to say I want the Marc Quinn print. Have followed the original paintings for a while. Think they are seductive, smart, beautiful, a real attempt at dissecting identity.
Have bought too much art lately, and have a TBD medical bill to cover, but am seeing how I can make it happen.
As with previous dealings, Christian / Avant Arte is absolutely great to work with. Real gentleman, fair, generous and helpful.
Got to make a decision soon.

Felipe Pantone π¦π· Exhibition News β’ Contemporary Art , by Carl Cashman on Jul 25, 2018 7:40:43 GMT 1, The price is point is way too high for something mass produced. It is a great concept, but the configuration in that screenshot is between 1500-2000 euros. Not signed, not numbered, not limited. Apparently a timed release that's open until November. Strange concept, interested to see how it goes for sure.

Felipe Pantone π¦π· Exhibition News β’ Contemporary Art , by Mirus Gallery on Jul 25, 2018 8:18:38 GMT 1, Considering his original works sell for 15-20K this new project could be seen as an experiment in design rather than a original work of art. Saying that I would say it would be as rare as any unsigned release but you get the chance to own a work for 2k Euros that looks like a work worth 15K. I think its great for anyone that loves the artists work but cant afford an original.

I like the idea and I'm sure they'll look great, but not sure it's for me!

I'll stick with my 1 print
