It doesn't. People are assuming there will be as there is usually an accompanying poster at some exhibition. And they're not going to mention anything about a poster or other such thing in the blurb. It will be available on the day if there is one produced.

Harland Miller Show , by badgersurf on Jun 11, 2017 9:40:56 GMT 1, I spoke to White Cube a few weeks ago and at that time they said they didn't have any information on a print and were pretty sure there would not be a poster. So guess we have to wait and see what the show brings (personally I am hoping for a smaller sized print this time as already have 2 larger ones and don't think the wife will let another big print in!)

Harland Miller Show , by Pattycakes on Jun 11, 2017 11:33:06 GMT 1, There is definitely a print being published for this show. I am also reliably informed there is at least one if not two others also coming this summer (from other publishers)

Awesome print, I nearly bought it from them awhile back but just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. I'm sure it will find a nice home.

Harland Miller Show , by Love Is In The Air on Jun 28, 2017 13:23:55 GMT 1, Not much new info here - except perhaps the title? - but I emailed White Cube at start of week and this is what I got back:
Harland Miller One Bar Electric Memoir White Cube Masonโs Yard Preview: Thursday 6 July, 6-8pm 7 July โ 2 September 2017
You are very welcome to attend the preview from 6-8pm on Thursday 6 July 2017. This event is open to the public, we hope that you can join us.
(They also said they had no new info on a print with HM to coincide with the exhibition but I don't imagine I would be the first to be told anyway tbh!)

Harland Miller Show , by Poster Bob on Jun 28, 2017 14:06:13 GMT 1, I think the original of this is in Forum Auctions soon with an estimate not much more than this HF print Which just goes to show how stupid auction estimates are! I'd say it shows you how hyped up the Miller market is right now and without any particular reason. That Forum Auctions print is estimated at more than the most recent sale of a canvas. It's forum hype because people want to be able to buy a print from source and sell it for two to three times what they paid for it. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy and am working on getting a canvas of my own but this price hyping is just complete nonsense.
In regards to what is being touted as a new hand-finished print, it looks just like one from the series of hand-finished giclees which were all about ยฃ20k and came out earlier this year. Unless of course one of you has information to say otherwise.

I am not sure the Hype is for no particular reason as he is quite talented and the works can really be meaningful to those that appreciate him. But Yes, of course it's also because many just see dollar signs.
It's an odd market for him right now. Arguably the print collector stretching to pay up to 30k is a different audience than the OG collector that has a starting price point of 45k-90k for a new original work. (Not is all cases to be sure)
The HF prints are selling rather quickly regardless of what the image actually is yet there are quite a few original canvases available through various sources at close to the recent release prices at Blain Southern. It seems the people buying canvases are a bit more discriminating when it comes to the image itself or there is just less "flippability" maybe.
I am sure there are many on here with more tenure than I that has seen this happen with artists in the past where prints begin to encroach on original work prices. Are there any examples that come to mind and what was the outcome ultimately?

Harland Miller Show , by yorkie on Jun 28, 2017 15:00:40 GMT 1, Great points Augustg..... one point that I have heard others take into account is that with prints you can do so much in terms of individualising them - the frame the mount the positioning whereas with canvases its pretty much ready to hang.
I had a 3F canvas that I was really excited to get (the kiss) and when it came I just did not like it at all - I then went out and checked a number of images that I liked and for me (at least) I just don't like canvases.
So maybe canvases are an acquired taste?
I was communicating with White Cube last week and they said that the market for HM had just gone through the roof.... they had a 'rags to polyester' that had not sold for ages and then they had 15 enquiries for it in one week and it was sold to one of them.
I am by no means a HM expert.... I agree his prints either strike a cord or not.... many do to me and honestly I'd love to get 'York so good they named it once' - one because it just makes me smile, two because it is about Yorkshire and three because the guy who produced it lived in New York but came from Yorkshire and his roots are from where I came....
Looking forward to the new stuff!
