Just, as for Faile but in more expensive, iam Fed up of periodslly and monthly to see JR prints etc .. and 1200 e... it's not good for collectors, the more an artist/editor is producing ( Chagall , Miro, tMagritte etc ... ) the less it is valuable and researched after times ..,

Jr has done like 12 prints. They maybe be pricey, but he's certainly not just banging them out.

New JR Print: WOMEN ARE HEROES, by Deleted on May 29, 2017 12:53:55 GMT 1, So did JR just head for the Kibera slum, make some big fotos as virtue signalling.
It's OK going round the world photographing peoples faces and making decorative prints I guess.
There again.
"The informal settlement of Kibera is not only the largest slum in Nairobi, it is said to be the largest slum in Africa. With a population estimated at approximately 230,000[1], one might assume that Kibera’s needs would be a top priority for the Kenyan government. Kiberans, who have a life expectancy of just 30 years, suffer from a severe lack of clean, running water and toilets; hunger is so rampant that 66 percent of girls in the slum routinely trade sex for food by the age of 16.[2] However, Kibera has been largely ignored by those outside its vicinity. In fact, until recently, Kibera was very literally invisible, appearing only as a large blank space or an uninhabited forest on virtually all maps.[3]"

New JR Print: WOMEN ARE HEROES, by Con Art Studio on May 29, 2017 17:41:50 GMT 1, I don't think it makes any difference, the number of colors. It's a litho. I don't get why it's advertised because they aren't typical offsets created at a commercial printer. A lot more work goes into these, so mentioning the number of colors used to create it does mean something... but they could have used 100 colors to create these and I still think they would be over priced.

There again. I think he aims for his work to help the communities in more ways than just bringing attention to them. In Kibera, for instance, "the photographs of the women on rooftops were printed on vinyl so that it would make all homes waterproof. The sheets of corrugated iron used in another part of the shanty town were distributed afterwards to those who had taken part."
Jr has done like 12 prints. They maybe be pricey, but he's certainly not just banging them out. without counting 99 ones ( about 5 or more ) I count actually 26... And Jr Is not so old.. I was being hyprerbolic. The point is, he's done only a fraction of the prints Faile has in the same amount of time (06-now.)

Stone Lithography, no? Aren't these printed at/by Idem? Yes, they are printed by/at Idem.

So how is there only tens colors in that image? There has to be at least ten different greens.

I guess vinly printing is not expensive these days plus betetr than on paper which wouldn't last five minutes outside in those large sizes. Let them have the sheets of corrugated iron too.
€1,000 X 180 = €180,000.
I'm all for people who raise awareness and baring witness by taking fotos, like journalists do.
I think the danger sometimes is when people combine arty projects with social issues, that some people look at it as some sort of glamorous photo shoot in Africa using the slums as a backdrop and making the wmen come across in a similar way that fashion or professional models would.
and of course professinal models get paid for their time.
