this is him. Why it should not be him ? I found this fun as the tenner and Paris Clinton Cd .. He has posted since days and weeks, appealing to vote against the right side. And Bristol wall was a sign.

Voting only encourages them anyway. How many more times will PMs and politicians be caught steeling, lying, abusing and bribing before people realise we're all wasting our time?

Outrage at an artist using his influence to encourage voting is a good thing surely? Just because you don't agree with his politics. He hasn't said he wants you to vote for anyone particularly so I guess that is the get out of jail free part with regards to the law. The tories have been buying votes for years with their financial power over the other parties so all power to Banksy. Wish he had done it nationally! What's the difference between this and what the tories did with the 'slightly' illegal (although no charges will be brought) battle bus funding. That was influencing voters in marginal seats too.

well that plays hell with my theory that no one would be swayed in their voting intentions based on this! An interesting point you make though, it may also bring a bunch of people out who would other wise have thought screw it altogether. Maybe somewhat more thought out than people realise. or got lucky on that one. 

But watch when you go to vote. They write down the number of your ballot paper next to your name so they know exactly who you voted for.

Surprising people are not happy about Banksy doing this. He is obviously not a Tory supporting artist.

This does seem about encouraging people to vote which for this election I think is a good thing.

I suppose if you like Banksy and vote Tory this is something that might be difficult for you.

For me I like this idea. It is edgy as there does seem to be potential legal difficulties but painting illegal art is how Banksy made his name so he seems to be testing the law and his art for this in his own unique way.

I guess another way to look at it is he's not actually trying to sway the vote or buy votes, he's just rewarding Labour voters with a gift like a print release just for those who share his political opinion.

Not Labour voters but non Tory voters.

Its not encouraging people to vote, the statement clearly says to prove you voted against conservative.
why not just leave that bit out and say 'labour voters get a free souvenir print'. Thats all he needed to say.
Anyway, its up to the voters in bristol how they do it, i just hope no voters get into trouble. Good luck whoever you are voting for!
