Surely Ken โI would not seek to serve more than one termโ has had his chance to deal with them already?

Its always been about environmental issues for me. London is one of the few cities in the world where the government has made a genuine attempt to address the issues of climate change. The congestion charge, Paris velib system, cycle ways investment- it's far from perfect but its sincere and, for that at least, I think he deserves support. Having said that I think that he will probably lose...

Plenty of bluster about being against the congestion charge over the last 7 years.
So, if he wins you would presume he would scrap it right? Wrong. The congestion charge will stay if the buffoon wins.

Boris V Ken?, by andrewd on Mar 28, 2008 21:00:06 GMT 1, BORIS. The revised congestion charge is nothing other then fraudulent. Hiked from ยฃ5 to ยฃ8 without manifesto, expanded to K &C despite two consultations which said NO ( he should have been JR'd then never mind waiting for Porsche to try to do it now. The change to Co2 charging will on his own admission only reduce Co2 by .001%. He has plans ( again not in the manifesto ) to expand the charge to Kingston wood green and other areas. He should legislate that all taxi's minicabs and buses have cleaner emissions. That would have a greater effect. Taxis are however a powerful lobby and he doesn't want to upset them. His abolition of the discount for LPG and converted cars means that no one knows what the boundaries are going to be in one or two years time. Buying a smaller or more efficient car is no guarantee that you will not be caught by the high cc charges. He has to go!

He said he would never increase the CC from ยฃ5, the when confronted on this he says " i changed my mind" He claims to want to hit the gas guzzlers, then he extends the CC to the west where all the hummer lovers live! giving them free roam of the zone. TFL are a fucking joke and i don't' even use public transport...
Boris is a t**t as well so we're all fucked anyway.

Ken is a crook and a liar and i want him out... for the life of me i can't understand why Banksy, PE, and many other artists donated works to raise politcal funds his re-election campaign...? I'd certainly like to know their reasons. Boris might be a bit of a loon but as far as i know he's pretty minted so will be less likely to do deals for back-handers. He also wants to get the fantastically-awful and dangerous bendy-buses off the roads. Vote on the issues that effect you the most directly is the advice i follow.
