Forum Auctions β’ Banksy Marketplace π¬π§, by glap86 on May 23, 2019 16:09:47 GMT 1, I never understood the appeal of an unsigned Banksy (or unsigned print from anyone, really, other than price, of course). I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm pretty actively looking to acquire my first Banksy piece, and looked at this auction, but an unsigned print is just kind of...why?
Different strokes for different folks, but that's why I didn't throw my hat in on any of these.

You still get an endorsed print (COA) thats part of his body of work that was printed at the exact same time as the signed edition at a fraction of the price. I don't get how that is hard to comprehend ?

I don't get how that is hard to comprehend ? Fair enough! I suppose I can understand it, it just doesn't appeal to me. But it also took me a little while to even come around on the idea of prints in general. I still haven't convinced my other half that prints are as cool as I think they are ("We're spending how much money on something that isn't even hand painted?")

Long term the unsigned will continue to soften/plateau, whilst signed will soar.

I mean itβs all bullshit right? You can only assign so much value to a signature that was likely done by 1 of 4 people.
