Forum Auctions • Banksy Marketplace 🇬🇧, by Deleted on Aug 20, 2020 10:57:58 GMT 1, The email has this interesting option... Buyers please note that our financing partner is able to provide post-auction non-recourse buyer loans at up to 70% of the paid hammer price on which we will pay the first 3 months of interest. For more information please enquire to ceo@forumauctions.co.uk. Don’t think this is particularly helpful. Are we going to see Banksy’s being repossessed if the market doesn’t move in the way that some people hope?
Meh, the whole world propped up with Helicopter money. May aswell throw some @ some Banksy. What could ever go wrong

It’s unsigned. I’ll fix it. I guess when copying the lots my brain could not comprehend such an estimate on unsigned 😁

Isn’t that about right with unsigned prints I'm not an expert, but I don't think prices have tripled. Some have doubled. As I say, anything is possible, but over £50k for an unsigned would be extraordinary.

Is Silver Flag really selling for £21k now? Gosh.

That type of credit is not being used to speculate though. People generally don’t lease a car thinking they’ll be better off at the end of the term?!

Classic bubble market as prices rise and the market shrinks due to pieces becoming unaffordable to all but a small cohort. Offering buyer loans says it all really.

The first things people sell, especially middle managers on 70k a year that credit-card/lease/loan their entire existence , are pretty bits of paper on the wall. There are others on here who said the same when the the realisation of the impact on this pandemic and that the price were going to tank.....bubble burst. if anything, the prices have just accelerated. People are jumping out of stocks and shares and buying precious metals and art. Its just investors moving money to 'safe' havens. Look back at any major economic downturn and you see similar. Buyers trying to talk the market down or scare people into selling now with doomsday stories and likewise there are sellers trying to talk the market up even more. Its market forces and basic economics in my view. I'm just enjoying the ride!!

People generally don’t lease a car thinking they’ll be better off at the end of the term?! Correct. They lease cars they can’t afford in the first place and don’t realise you can’t just “give it back” when they can’t make the £650 a month payment on their Range Rover Sport that had a 7000 mile a year allowance. Trust me - when the meltdown hits, car leasing/hp etc is going to pop so hard.
I’m certainly no expert but agree with this. It’s the next credit crisis waiting to happen. I’m always amazed that so many people are willing to ‘own’ a car on perpetual credit.

I don’t disagree. But something about this doesn’t feel right - like Hargreaves Lansdown emailing customers with an interest free loan for 3 months as long as they invest in the stock market?! After 3 months they are left with the loan repayments but their stocks are worthless. With a lease, atleast you get a car for your money?!

Mass popularity, particularly with young people, deservedly very cool, the increase in value only making people want to own a print?
I still see an awful lot of people with a lot of money to spend, regardless of the pandemic.

Interest rate per month: 1.50%
Thats 18% interest secured by the Banksy print.
