This afternoon I went online to purchase the new Shepard Fairey print TARGET EXCEPTIONS. I love the colors, the message, etc. It literally sold out in less than 10-seconds. 10 SECONDS. Now there are over 50 listings on eBay for the print in the neighborhood of $200-$280 USD for a print that was purchased for $55 USD. I work hard for my money and put cash aside for art purchases I really want for MY COLLECTION not to flip. Bots were made illegal in the US by Congress last year too. The artist management team really need to put measures in place to allow collections not flippers to purchase the prints. F 'em.

dont remember when i tried the last time to grab a shepard fairey print....but i was really surprised today. i clicked on the add button and 450 prints where sold - in some seconds !! well, bots....no chance for me...an old man with an old pc...! ;-)

Hey rick, we have all missed print releases mate. It's the nature of this game. I think the posts of cry babies is only light hearted so don't take Offence to it I bet the people who done that have spent hours crying thereselfs over missing releases like us all. Onwards and upwards, good luck with the next release.

I have been squeezed out of 2 Fairey releases, 1 I bought on eBay but maybe 2 weeks after kept an eye on prices paid $175 for something I really wanted. 2nd one I realized I could do without.

For people in Europe it's now nearly impossible to grab a Obey from his site, because of the data delay.
Years ago it was no problem to be fast enough and the prints were gone quickly too.
I didn't tried to to grab every last print, but when I tried I failed. This time I supposed to be really quick, but the captcha ruined it for me.
Some points for explaining:
1. There are lots of more Obey fans over the last years who try now to buy a print.
2. So this leads to much more flippers out there (with or without bots) making some quick money and the people of point 1. are willing to pay overpriced prints on Ebay
3. The shop system has changed and it's not the best one. It could be more fair when the print in your basket would be save for 5 or 10 minutes for a secure checkout without hustle.
I will have a look on my old ones and maybe I'll try again some day, but now I am saving my time instead of sitting in front of my PC and being disappointed.
Good luck to everyone in future.

I just got one on the dozen that I have tried to buy. They gave all bits quicker than your archaic F5 fingers. Fairey also reserved most of his prints to NY , LA galleries etc
You have to do like me : buy on the flippers to eBay ! I got 8 like that coz my kid liked it,
Some advise if you buy on eBay : take an English seller if you are European ( no border taxes , 20% ), or ... wait : all obey prints loose 40 , 50 % of their value on eBay after the hype random.
In fact be patient or forget it

It's always a shame when fans who want to enjoy the art lose out to the parasitical flippers. But not something to lose sleep over, as another release will be just around the corner.
