This place is becoming a joke, full of gallery price one post wonders. No price, location, or pics.
I would rather buy and sell on a well know auction web site these days.

Hi Quinnster, I have the piece in Los Angeles, it is unframed and packed for delivery in perfect condition. I am happy to answer any questions you may have about this print, as well I have many other prints to post for sale. As I have just joined and not exactly sure how this site works yet I would prefer to discuss prices on PM until I am a little more familiar with this process.

ah f**kit, I'm just going to say it. Spidey senses are saying go dam carefully. Could be wrong, but be 100% sure you have covered yourself if your going to spend lots of money with someone flipping such high value stuff with such low posts.

Tarturus, of course you have a valid concern, especially when dealing with such large price tags. This is a new way of dealing prints for me, I always much prefer in person. I would be more than happy to talk or meet with somone on here that you all agree is legit near the LA area. Even if they are not interested in buying to verify and ease concerns. As Dappy said I'm a consultant I can have the print here next week and available. If necessary to show artcave and others photos of the actual piece. As I am sure all of you that are familiar with this work know that the price tags are high, I have done my research as all interested parties should and I know that I am offering this at a very good price.  As  jluhiex notes the starting price was 20K and sold out in Hong Kong, meaning you had to be in Hong Kong to purchase the piece, and as you know as editions sell out the price goes up, as well as more time passes the price can go up. This is why I prefer to be contacted over PM then list a price publicly, I think you will see that is standard practice.  I have all pertinent info relating to the piece and am happy to answer all your questions.

Note to Silk, instead of banning long standing members who offer knowledge, how about getting rid of the parasites who come here as 'consultants' trying to make a buck on art they don't even possess.

Haha I think it might have, excuse my rant. So tired of 1st post sellers.
 
I actually don't mind new members who have found these boards when looking to shift their own artwork/collections. But when it's 'brokers' or 'consultants' like this fine chap that presses my buttons. Maybe I just need more sleep and I'm doing Gus a disservice.

As Silky has said recently:

'Galleries, Artists, Collectors are welcome to sell on the forum.

Collectors should sell in the Art for Sale board, while Galleries and Artists should start their sales threads in the Urban Art board or their own individual board if they have one.'

Once members have had their status changed this will stop Galleries and Consultants posting in the Art For Sale Thread.

Honestly, I think people are ranting because this Forum should really be for collectors to work with other collectors. Not for dealers or "consultants" to use these boards to "fish for prospects." Although I am not "new" to the boards, I don't really have a lot of reasons to post something as I try to "absorb" as much about collecting works as possible and frankly, if we were all in a room, there are some here that would certainly take "center stage" while others, like myself, would sit off to the sides and take things in.

There are a lot of really knowledgeable people on these boards and it's a great place to learn about UA, but the dealer who comes in, out of nowhere, to try to sell a high ticket item WITHOUT EVEN HAVING THE PIECE IN INVENTORY really should not be posting.

If you didn't lay out the cash to buy the print or pay the rent, you're not a "consultant," you're just a "flipper,"
plain and simple and these boards ain't "crazy 'bout no  flipperz."

If you're a dealer, "consultant" or gallery, there really should be a thread or Posting area just for them.
