A couple galleries jacked the prices after buying up the POW inventory and then speculators and FOMO are keeping the prices there. If you notice on this board, everyone is selling Invader. Why not keep it if you think it will hit Banksy level pricing? I think it's a bubble since his pieces don't translate that well to paper and the closer you get to the Rubik pixelated pieces the less you can appreciate it. I like his street work but it's hard for me to believe the video game culture will pay big bucks for these down the line since these could have been had a year ago for 10% of the price! Is the Asian market really buying all of this as rumored? I still don't get the in-organic hype that was created in a few months.
RVE has no color, depth, or imagination and is too symmetrical to even be interesting yet everyone wants it?
