The question is how we, as individuals, can contribute to the necessity of protecting our rapidly declining bee population.
Albert Einstein once said : "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man."
I love this too. And from the programes I've watched, a seriously worrying issue.
Also worries that War Boutique appears no longer to be a member - if so, that is a huge loss to this forum. HUGE.

As many will know I have huge respect for WB, his art and his passion. As I've mentioned on here before, I find him an incredibly interesting person, and could listen to him talk for hours. If you ever have the fortune to meet him you will know what I mean - he really knows his stuff.
I have met WB a few times, and have kept in touch. He came up with the idea of a little "art competition" between my son and I. He would send us prints, that we had to "complete".
Now, I'm no artist. but it sounded fun. It's really all in the spirit of Happymeal's Monday art thread - just getting us doing something together and arty. There's no prize, and no need for us to decide who "wins".
So the prints arrived a title while ago. I sat on it for a while, due to lack of time, and as festivities approached we decided it would be a great thing to do together over the break. We got cracking yesterday.
Really great fun. I had to ask my lad for loads of advice. The first hurdle was overcoming the feeling that we were committing an art crime by making any mark on beautiful prints, gorgeously printed, on such thick card. But once we got stared, it was fab.
Here are the prints, pre our efforts.
