This is great news for War Boutique.
His "The Great Game" has been aquired by the National Army Museum.
I have to say that I am impressed that they aquired it, in view of the fact that WB's art often takes a satirical swipe at war.
It's a fabulous piece, that I had the pleasure of seeing at the Herbert gallery show, War Peace and Reconcilliation.

I understand that the piece will be off to Dresden this summer, to be shown there.

WB, great artist in my opinion. I've said it before - if you ever get the chance to go to one of his artists talks, don't miss it - he is fascinating to listen to.

Recall seeing this piece on the forum during the show at the Herbert and thinking at the time that it was a clever and insightful work. Congratulations to WB and both the Army Museum and the Herbert for their free thinking and foresight.

For me, this was one of the most memorable pieces from the Caught in the Crossfire exhibition. Simple but effective. I'm glad it's found an interesting home.

I have been lucky enough to meet him a couple of times. He is a smashing chap. Funny and very generous with his time. And he really knows his stuff. Fascinating to listen to. I went to an artist talk by him, and it was enthraling.

One of my favorite pieces is the piece of armour from an Apache helicopter with the playstation logo painted on it. Brilliant. And his Maharishi collab riot track suit was great. The man is a great artist. One day I will hopefully buy an original.

I have one of war boutiques clockwork soldier pieces on aluminium on the wall, poignant piece as all of his are. I think @badrobot 's point about his market being a hard one to make it in is true and I did wonder if the move to andipa would help or hinder this, their client list has deep pockets, but their pricing excludes some people who may well be interested in his work

What is the real motivation for this print?
This "Vote" thing seemed to start around the Obama campaign to get the youth voting, because artists knew the kids would vote for Obama and the US needed change.
So, this print, in both colour ways, is there actually a point?

Always good to get out and vote, but is this just a money spinner now?

Yeah, I get that. But why really produce these prints?
Feels a bit like artists producing valentines prints just in time to give as gifts.
Not really giving an opinion or anything to say! Know what I mean?

Yeah, I get you HS and agree. I suppose people who like art, and in this case, know WB would consider buying these. But for me and along with a number of other prints and originals that are produced by other artists, these are 'seasonal' or for 1 off events e.g. London Olympics gone now, Christmas themed prints to pull out for a month each year, topical news stories that were 'stencilled' etc.

War Boutique is Glaswegian and therefore has a vested interest in the future of Scotland.
As well as being one of the more politically outspoken artists currently 'out there'.
He is also a great person with an incredible back ground - I know for a fact that Banksy loves his work and owns many of War Boutique artworks.

In my experience artists do care about how their work is received.

To be honest, knowing he's Scottish makes his interest more clear but not the point of these prints.
I love his work, just not sure about these.

what does that mean..I love art more than I love prints..?
