New Faile print, Size of the Fight, by mercboy on Jul 11, 2017 11:33:12 GMT 1, There was also a LTD Ed. Silk Screen from the LSC show, I think it was an Ed. of 100 and sold for $175. I picked one up last week. So they may still be available- but I think the image is better on the offset.

New Faile print, Size of the Fight, by mercboy on Jul 11, 2017 12:14:07 GMT 1, I think you just got kicked off Faile's next invite list. But Seriously, Detroit is my Home Town, so I totally get the concept. Growing up there was tough, and I grew up in the suburbs. All the glitz and glamour of the city That my parents knew was gone when I was growing up. Going Downtown was an adventure to be had by groups of 8 or more, and there wasn't really much to go Downtown for. Now- The city that our parents let go is in our hands- I think the image speaks to a roll reversal in the city, where young people are fleeing the enormous urban sprawl that saps the life out of the city, and reinvesting back into the city itself- the engine that drives the suburbs in the first place. it's our city now, check us out.

New Faile print, Size of the Fight, by Jaylove on Jul 11, 2017 12:16:33 GMT 1, One of these was sitting on ebay for the last 2 weeks for a bit more than this price. If that's any indication, not too many people are feeling this. Should sell out immediately though.

How is Detroit doing now? I had not been in years. Is the downtown changing? I remember it being a ghost town (it was on a Sunday). Surprised the heck out of me.

This and the silkscreen you mention were created for the Detroit show at LSC. I too ordered the silkscreen, which is numbered and signed and scheduled to arrive today, and is the show print. I expect to see the show while passing through Detroit in early August.

The Changes in the past 3 years or so are mind numbing. I got to the Faile Show a bit late, there must have been a thousand people packed into the alleyway between the parking structure and the gallery. And the Gallery was closed and locked about 45 mins before the end of the show if thats any indication. I had an Irish Coffee at the skip, got drunk off one drink, (total light weight) then had a Kobe Beef sandwich hung out for another hour or so to sober up and went home. I wish I would have got there earlier. Another huge gallery in Detroit is Interstate or 1XRun. They just had a show put on by ThinkSpace that was amazing! Retail is picking up, night life too, Even the music scene is returning. But parking now is like Chicago, hard to come by and pricey.

New Faile print, Size of the Fight, by cjwhitey on Jul 11, 2017 15:26:19 GMT 1, I've been waiting patiently for a new Faile release, but this print sadly does nothing for me. Cheers to those from Detroit and others who this resonates with.

Based on their recent form, I wouldn't be disappointed.
Very hit and miss these days. There was a time (mid-2000's) that I would have bought everything.
